It's great to see something like this exists to keep my glued to my monitor. I'm dismayed that on my first viewing, Kilgore is in the lead. But I have hopes that will change.
Something is messed up in Brunswick County
J W Kilgore Republican 85,057 98.36%
T M Kaine Democratic 1,398 1.62%
There are only ~10,000 registered votes in Brunswick County.
Thank you lord, there is a God !
We can't turn back time, but we can turn back the heathens from the gate !
not that we didn't know but it looks like the r's are in some serious shit particularly since the va race was dubbed by the wapo as a "referendum" on bush...
There is no gay marriage ban on the ballot in Maine.
Thanks much for staying on top of things tonight. Great job.
great job tonight.
The Maine measure was to repeal gay rights. It failed. Here's a link:

Also, the McConnell number should say 50.08, not 50.8. It's VERY close--about 4K votes.
VA AG is now at Deeds 50.00% and McDonnell 49.92%. It looks as if the vote could stay about steady based on the precincts still out there.
Are we now looking at an automatic recount? How will absentee ballots factor in?
All of that has huge influence on VA GOV 2009.
Don't forget, the Dover school board (of ID fame) lost en masse to six Democrats.
The wapo dubbed it a referendum on Bush because that is their agenda ! If you look at the history, VA always votes against the party in the White House in off year elections. Not to mention, the Ds had the governor's office to begin with. In 2000, Bush carried VA by @ 9 points and Warner won. In 2004, he carried VA by @ 5 points and Kaine won. How is this a referendum on Bush???
Congrats Frank!!! We did it!!!
