SCRANTON--After the Associated Press called the U.S. Senate Democratic primary for Bob Casey, Casey issued the following statement:
“Tonight voters from across the state overwhelmingly showed President Bush, Rick Santorum and the whole ‘wrong direction’ gang in Washington that the values that unite us as Democrats are stronger than anything that might divide us. It is clear that our country needs a new direction and Pennsylvania needs a new U.S. Senator.”
