Bayh's Indiana Blues (Where Blues Is A Good Thing To Have)
Sen. Evan Bayh's All America PAC plans to donate $100K to the IN Dem party, and Bayh will spend a good part of 10/06 blitzing his state to help elect Dems to Congress and the state legislature. Beginning 10/6, Bayh will campaign for Dem candidates in IN 02 (Joe Donnelly), IN 08 (Brad Ellsworth) and IN 09 (Baron Hill), holding press conference with all of them at least once. He'll also hit the trail for all three Dems in late Oct.
Bayh's PAC lent staff trained by Camp Bayh to all three candidates as well as the IN Dem party. Bayh will also campaign for IN state house candidates and plans to appear in television spots on their behalf. A Bayh spokesman stresses that Bayh "is not going to be decisive in these races," but attributes some of their competitiveness to the trail that Bayh, who served two terms as GOV ending in '96, blazed. Also in Oct., Bayh will campaign for candidates in OH, KY, IA and NV, as well as for Dems in IL.
But will Bayh help the DSCC? Sen. Hillary Clinton will almost certainly transfer money for her campaign account to the DSCC's main account, as will several other senators sitting on large kitties. Bayh has more than $10.3 million in his Senate re-election account.

Ask around. Bayh's new name is "Stingy Bayh". He's fast developing a bad reputation among the grassroots and netroots.
"He'll also hit the trail for all three Dems in late November." -- I've gotta hope that is a typo and that you meant "late October" - Evan Bayh has been around politics long enough to know when Election Day is!
Thanks to Senator Evan Bayh Indiana had a Democrat Governor for 16 years. And he is still leading our party..........
The Senator is coming to my community Thursday to campaign not only for congressional candidate Joe Donnelly, but local candidates as well.
As a former county chairman, I can say without hesitation we've successfully built entire GOTV efforts around electing the "Bayh Team".
In addition to helping build the modern Democratic Party in Indiana, Evan Bayh is still a galvanizing influence in local and regional Democratic campaigns.
