IL To Move Primary To Help Obama?
Capitol Fax Blog's Rich Miller reports that IL House Speaker Mike Madigan said he wants to move the state's 2008 presidential primary to Feb. 5 to help Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy.
In 2004, the primary was held on March 16.
"That's like lowering the hoop for Shaq," an aide to one of Obama's potential rivals tells the Hotline.
We'll bet a dollar that Sen. Hillary Clinton's political team will spend some telephone time today investigation Mr. Madigan's intentions. Also worth watching is the reaction of AFSCME, a big pro-Clinton with many IL members. (That said, if Obama doesn't run and the primary is moved to 2/5, it'd be a good state for her, no?)
We're checking with Speaker Madigan's office....

Ok, so you have to cheat for him! The guys has been setting this up even before he became Senator. He is so see-through it's pathetic. That's why you just started hearing from him, he laid low! He wants power, and I for one will not vote for a man who walks around everything, no specific answers becaues he wants to be president and not senator! He's good but not that good! Mr. Manipulative Senator, you are see-through, and certainly audacious. By the way people, he is not a God!
Barak Obama has the potential to be a great leader. But I would like to see him get more experience in elected office before running for President.
As far as the Illinois primary goes, who cares? That's just politics as usual.
NEXT!
I don't consider that cheating, at least not as bad as Hillary purchasing websites named Edwards08 so she can redirect his prospective supporters to her own website.
Obama offers more precision and specific answers than anyone I know of in politics. He clearly defines himself when asked about a topic and I have yet to hear him give any delayed answers, or "we're looking into that now" crap.
I know he is no God, he is a United States Senator, Law Professor and soon to be respectable candidate for the Presidency however. The Republicans redistricting is cheating in my opinion but your comments are way out of line.
Oh please, lose the venom. Obama is what we need and you know it.
