Debate IX

Edwards was asked to identify his moral leader. He paused for about seven seconds. Then: "I don't think I could identify just one person who could be his moral leader." He then identifies his Lord, his wife and his father.

Williams asks HRC: Overall, is Wal-Mart a good thing or bad thing for the United States of America? Clinton: "It's a mixed blessing. It brought goods intro rural Arkansas and gave people a chance to stretch the dollar further. As they grew much bigger, they have raised serious questions about ... [corporate] responsibility."

Biden is the first candidate to mention Darfur.

Great response from Edwards on the moral leader question. His pause to think about it showed that he's not a blind follower of anything. His response was thoughtful and inspiring.

Richardson mentioned Darfur before Biden.

I thought Edwards response on the moral leader question was VERY revealing. If moral behavior is important to you, you know a few people that you admire, and can state them in a nanosecond, and the answer is not nothing for several seconds and then “……my lord…aehm…my wife….aehm…my father…”.
