Obama Raised More Primary Cash Than HRC
Officially, we don't know that Sen. Hillary Clinton raised less than $23.5 million for the primary this quarter, but sources close to the campaign are not wanding us away from reporting that as fact. How much less is TBD.
We understand, from talking to a senior Obama campaign adviser, that Obama's finance team realized fairly quickly the folly of raising for both the general and the primary, and once receipts started to come in more quickly than anticipated, a decision was made to reduce the number of $4600 events.

I don't have a horse in this yet, but HOLY **** what numbers! So much for HRC's inevitability...
when will all the cash on hands numbers posted?
very very impressive.
Yet every state and national poll continues to show Hillary comfortably ahead of Obama – when will the five months of glowing/adoring press coverage finally be reflected in the polls? Better happen soon or the question will be “Why can’t Obama get traction” in spite of all the news coverage? Most recent polls show no movement at all from Obama.
Infact its Edwards who is steadily gaining in polls. He is the candidate to watch for both Obama and Hillary.
@craig - Pollster.com's aggregrate polls show all Dems moving upwards in support with Obama owning the most dramatic trend line.
craig, most of the iowa and new hampshire polls only show clinton with a small edge if an edge at all, and obama has gained ground gradually. pew and time found clinton's lead at only 7 points that's smaller than what it was in the past.
Edwards now is beginning to challenge Obama for second place but Hillary remains on top through it all. She is the front runner and, unlike McCain on the GOP side, she has remained the frontrunner.
As a Clinton supporter, Edwards is the real opponent because he has subtance whereas Obama only has style. Good for Obama for raising 25 mil. Sen. Chris Dodd said it best when he pointed out that after a failed presidency, with Obama we would get four years of on the job training.
The national polls are pretty meaningless at this point, especially for top tier candidates. Wait a while, and then look at the polls in individual states.
