Quote Of The Day

From today's Hotline:

"I suppose that's true if you leave out the fact that she authorized and supported it and I said it was a bad idea."

Umm, he didn't vote for it because he wasn't in the Senate. Congratulations Obama for standing up and saying you were against it when you were a peon in Illinois and not one of the most highly watched and criticized politicians in American history.

Nonsense anon 12:56pm.

Obama stood out clearly against this war when going to war was the popular sentiment around the country, when those who opposed the war at the time were called UNPATRIOTIC. When push comes to shove, Obama demonstrated to voters why political expediency among politicians is always dangerous. You don't start a war that has cost us 3,400 US lives, 20,000 wounded soldiers and over 100,000 Iraqis killed, and then turn around and say you're SORRY. Give me a break!

iceman, I don't believe Clinton has said she's sorry.

anon,

Senator Dick Durbin, Senator Obama's friend and colleague VOTED against the War too. So did what about 20 more Senators.

Try again.

Lorraine,

And how many of those Senators are running for President? Feingold sure isn't. We let Edwards off the hook because he apologized - if he starts a war with Iran and later apologizes, do we let him off the hook then too? I think the apologizing is bullshit, and I also think that unless he had the opportunity to vote, Obama's stance isn't worth anything. We attack Edwards right now for telling the Senate how to vote when he isn't a Senator, why do we let Obama get away with it four years ago?
