Snow v. Gore

Post:

Q This is not asking you for a book review, but Al Gore's new book is out, and he says that Saddam Hussein posed no threat and that President Bush, "forged evidence that Hussein was seeking to develop atomic bombs."

MR. SNOW: Well, the second is false, and the first is in contradiction to Senator Gore -- then Vice President Gore's prior statements. So I'll let him rectify those differences.

Riposte:

[Mr. Gore, in a conference call with bloggers today: "Unlike the President's State of the Union, this book was actually fact-checked."

I have no confidence in Al Gore regardless of his claims.

Gore makes a good point. But then some people are held to a higher standard. Sadly, that doesn't include the present administration or Tony Snow.

Please Al, Gore bush Now!

oh, snap!

KO for Al Gore

The Bush administration and its various stooges have no desire to confront reality, therefore facts are irrelevant. A wise man once said, "Never try to teach a pig to sing -- you waste your time and annoy the pig."

Al Gore is right with respect to the lies of the Bush adminstration, but the larger issue is whether or not the Democratic leadership will take him to task on it, or let President Bush et al. slide by until 2008? Just a thought.

The Dems need to hear from Americans loud and clear that they want benchmarks and pull out time lines. They need to know that the American people are with them. They did not want to go home and see ads saying they do not support the troops. Politics is a tough sport. We need to let them know what we want them to do.

Bush/Cheney/Snow have ZERO credibility while Al Gore has excellent credibility on things that matter to American public. So Bush will be a looser if he talks Iraq with Al Gore. If there is one man responsible for 3500 inncoent American kids death in Iraq then its Bush himself.

Although the democrats and Al Gore have the facts, they only use them in a defensive posture. The republicans and the Bush administration turn everything the democrats say into seeming proof that they're not supporting the troops or the generals. Unfortunately, this rhetoric is only considered factual by the democrats in Washington - not the country as a whole; with 60% wanting the conflict to end asap.

Just as the administration uses pro-life to rally parts of its base but realizes that resolving the problem would not allow them to use it again; so too the democrats are using the "get out of Iraq" mantra to rally their base but solving the problem would not give them as much ammunition for the upcoming 2008 elections.

This is a coy way to demonstrate politics as usual.

How about a ticket with Gore for pres, Obama VP with the promise that Edwards will be secretary of state, Hillary sec of Defense and Joe Biden as Ambassador to the UN or something along those lines.
They should pool all of the campain funds and blow away the Repugs.
