'Uncommitted' Trumping Clinton For African-American Votes
Andrew Sullivan: So far, in Michigan, the African-American vote is going 65 percent for "Uncommitted" against 25 percent for Clinton. That's a brutal judgment on the front-runner in the Democratic race. I wonder if the Clintons have badly damaged their own party in their attempt to quash the hopes raised by Obama.
Poor Andrew!! I think that all these pundits have to shut up and get off the prediction business. Leave that to Nostrodamus! Yes Hillary is damaged good now for the African American community. But if she is the nominee, the African American vote will be there to help elect her. Fellows like Andrew Sullivan cannot see pass their biases. I know that if Barack is the nominee I will do all I can to help get him elected.
Wow! Obama raised hope so much so that Hillary should just step side to make him the king. What kind of idiotic reasoning is that? Rev. Jackson won 12 primaries and caucuses with major black support. Is not a foregone conclusion that black would support black if given a chance. The case here is special only because the Clinton's have a strong tie with the black community such that the black have a harder time voting for a fellow black.

What Sully obviously doesn't know is that since last week there have been radio & tv ads featuring Obama supporters John & Monica Conyers encouraging voters to vote "uncommitted." Given that little fact, last night's results aren't much of a surprise.
