$15M

Howard Wolfson said on a conference call with reporters a few minutes ago that Hillary Clinton's campaign raised $15M online in the first 15 days of the month ...

Meanwhile, HRC's Ohio state director, Robby Mook, said Clinton would be heading to Appalachia in coming days and is, in keeping with the theme of her latest TV ad, expected to work the night shift. Details to come on both appearances. The major issue of concern to Ohio voters, Mook said, jobs, jobs, jobs.

TX state director Ace Smith said HRC has 20 offices open in the Lone Star State. The campaign will vigorously target young people in TX, Smith said, much as it did in CA. "We’re going to run a campaign down here where we concede absolutely nothing," he added.

1) did 5 mill of that go to paying back the loan?
2) If they are doing so well (the message they clearly want to send), then why are they being outspent so heavily in Wisconsin advertizing?

From how many donors??

If a Clinton raised $15 million dollars, those dollars must be suspect. Those contributions can't be from individual citizens who actually support her candidacy. Because "Clinton" is in the sentence. And that's a trigger for my Pavlovian response.

Getting that much money from her supporters that quickly makes it sound like these people are part of a cult.

I find it highly dubious that they(Wolfson & Co.) don't shed any light on the number of donors and who donated.
And some tax returns would be nice, they can't keep the song and dance up forever. It's amazing that they are scraping the bottom of the battle to come up with attacks against Obama, but anyone could pick a suspect act of character or something sketchy out of the air against the Clinton's

The level of disdain agains Senator Clinton far exceeds any measure of fairness. If it doesn't stop on the blogs--I will vote for Nader instead of Obama. There seems to be no level of idiocy that isn't allowed against her. You disagree with her, fine. So do I. I don't like Obama's talk of hope and change--which is empty rhetoric at best, but I don't think eveything he does is evil. I ask you to quit attacking her. It will be bad for Obama if you don't.

I firmly believe the attcks on her are SEXIST.

John,

I don't think you get it (or the concept of one enter per post either)about why most of the country dislikes Hillary. We love the fact that she's a woman. We hate the fact that she's a Clinton and that overrides her gender, her policies or her positions. The Clintons - and sadly she has learned every thrick in the book from her scoundrel spouse - will say anything, do anything and screw anyone to win. We've had enough. Obama may not be perfect but he's head and shoulders better than either Clinton.

Contrary to what others think they know yes Hillary raised quite a bit of money from small donations, myself and well over 175,000 others included! I have donated several small amounts and will continue to donate what I can. I'd rather rely on a candidate with substance rather than someone who uses borrowed lines and flashes a goofy smile.

If she raised $15 million that means Obama raised $30 million.. Thats from 650,000 donors.

1. I agree that the Obama supporters are harsher toward Hillary than they need to be or should be. She is worthy of our support if she wins the nomination, and she has supporters who are every bit as passionate about her as Obama supporters are about Obama. Just not as many of them. I don't buy all the anti-Clinton thinking among Obama supporters, but I also don't buy the "Clintons are once again being accused unfairly" either -- they are trying to shake things up, because they will lose if they don't, but at some point, they can't whine about bad press while they stir the pot.

2. I don;t buy the "Hillary is more substantive" or "Hillary will be more ready on Day 1" bull$hit, at all. Obama's legslative career is far more substantive that Hillary's -- compare the legislation they've authored (it's not even close) --> her 20 bills are almost all patronage or earmark bills, his 200+ include some of the most important legislation in the past 10 years (the Congressional Ethics bill comes to mind). And his campaign has been picture perfect, showing poise, cool, executive skill, technological savvy and fundraising prowess, on top of his oratorical gifts, which are second to none; her campaign, by contrast, has been a mess, into its 4th or 5th slogan, its 2nd campaign director, working on a shoestring budget after blowing through $100 Million on a failed Super Tuesday strategy and calling themselves underdogs (by that logic, I guess the New Engaland Patriots were also underdogs during the last minute of the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl against the Giants) -- it's just a mess. Not as bad as Guliani (the worst Presidential campaign ever), and not quite as bad as McCain's (and he won the GOP nod . . . I think), but a mess by any honest reckoning. Which does not speak well for her executive skills.

3. The reality is that the Clintons can unite the GOP in a way that McCain can't (and Obama won't). No need to say more -- sad, but true.

I like her, I'll support her enthusiastically if she's the nominee, and I will feel good about our first woman president when she gets elected, if that's how it plays out. I have no doubt the Dems will win and the GOP will lose this year, no matter who is nominated. But I think Obama will make the better President, and I know Obama will make the better candidate. End of story.

The smugness of the Obamalites is insufferable. I can almost tolerant the right wing whacko’s Clinton haters, they are predictably stupid and inconsequential, just petty thugs. But you Obamalites, you drip smugness like a leaky faucet! Late comers and all that you are, the latte guilt ridden white liberals and the snotty nose students that thing that slogans and empty words can change the word. You are one scary bunch if I have ever seen one, but thanks God after McCain steamroll Barack in November, which pains me to not end, you all will finish your Kool Aid or go home in your flying saucer. And we will be better for it! For eight long years we have suffered the feckless George Bush, and when it seems that the Democrats will finally win the White House, we are going to nominate the only guy that cannot win!! Well Denis Kucinich cannot win either but that is beside the point! Why don’t you guys go back to play station and Starbuck, and let the adults run the joint?

Oh Mark Mark!!! What 200+ bills? How many of his initiative came to become law? He was a co-sponsor of the Congressional Ethics bill, he did not author the bill! He has had the uncanny ability of being away from congress every time a controversial bill is voted on! Truth is that the legislative achievement of both candidates matter very little to how they will perform in the White House. What I want from Obama is to go mano a mano with Hillary on the issues of our time. Put the change bullcrap away, take a position and campaign on it. I want him to sell me his health plan, or how he sees Iraq developing after the withdrawal of our troops. I don’t want to read it in his web site. I want him to articulate and defend his positions. Answer questions, which he never does. He goes in a venue, yell change you can believe, you acolytes scream, cry and pass out, and then he goes to the next venue. If he is elected president he cannot claim a mandate, because he has not told anybody what is it he will do, and who will pay the bills. I want to hear that. And I want him to ask, himself for that mandate on specific issues. Go to my web site will not do!

Mr. Wolfson wasn't under oath when he said it. It seems rather unlikely that all of a sudden Clinton supporters would start donating on-line when Obama's fundraising strength has been a big story for a whole year. What was keeping them from donating before?

We (her supporters) are not ready to concede defeat. We are angry over fellow democrats using right wing talking points to attack a fellow democrat. We, even though I know you find it hard to believe, know how to use a computer and make donations. Finally, I will never under any circumstance vote for Barack and Michelle Obama.

Robert V. You obviously have no idea about us many "mainstream" voters supporting Obama. Your "kool-aid" comment, or maybe it was the part that said something to the effect of letting "adults go back to running the joint" makes me think you feel that the support of Obama only comes from blacks and children. Insulting at a minimum.
P.S. I have as a 30 something working professional supported him for a year now.

John 6:35 pm-
In one breathless moment you decried attacks by fellow Democrats and then went on public record to say under no circumstance would vote for Obama, as a Democrat. Odd....or am I missing something?

It is unbelievable that anyone would question that HRC could raise 15M in 15 days! These people must not believe there are real supporters out here. I have contributed to Hillary several times - just not in the last month..when I read that her campaign needed money I immediately went online and sent off more than I had ever sent before...Why? Because I believe in HRC.

News alert: Hillary has MILLIONS of SUPPORTERS who love her.

Why wouldn't many of her passionate supporters, like me, donate to her campaign? Why do Obama supporters have to turn everything sour with their bitter hatred of Hillary? The past couple of weeks, I've increased my online donations to Hillary (I donate ~ every 3 days)...and every time I become enraged at cruel remarks online from Obamaphiles, I donate even more.

Not everyone donates online and many of her older supporters send checks via snail mail. When I realized how much of a fuss Obama supporters make about how much Obama raises online, I began to solely donate online. I'm a college student, so I don't have thousands to throw away, but I do what I can to help her because I want her to win! :D
