HRC Is "Fired Up"
As Hillary Clinton's campaign looks on the eve of another round of primaries to make an issue of Barack Obama's use in a weekend speech of lines previously used by his pal and supporter Gov. Deval Patrick, the Obama team points to this ...
HRC in Iowa: "And we are fired up, and we are ready to go ... "

ridiculous. that's totally different. anyone can say "we are fired up and we are ready to go," but the "just words" thing was all Deval's and Deval is a much better speaker. Also, Obama claimed to have gotten that "fired up, ready to go!" thing from a "little lady" in SC when really he used it himself at a rally in Seattle way before she did. So either Obama is lying about where that phrase came from (and I dont see why he would) or its clearly a common phrase that people say all the time without realzing it.
Sigsaly, I don't think that is right. Deval has no issue with Obama's use of the "just words" bit. Use with permission does not equal plagiarism.
Clinton, on the other hand, adopting the slogan (Fired up. Ready to go!) and trying to adopt Obama's messaging around "change" is just sad and pathetic. The fact that her campaign is now calling out this alleged plagiarism by Obama just makes them look ridiculous.
ooo ... ouch
Wow, has this campaign denigrated quickly or what? The whole thing is ridiculous ON BOTH SIDES. Both of these candidates are speaking extemporaneously at numerous rallies throughout the day. I assume that neither has memorized the exact delivery but each uses talkng points to get through their respective 40 minute stump speechs. These guys are human. They may use phrases and words that someone, somewhere else may have used at some point in human history. Give them a break
I can't even begin to express pleasure I feel watching the Clinton campaign implode. I am a Democrat, but I cannot stand the "ask a focus group what my opinion is" style of Hillary Clinton, nor could I stomach the to hear even one more time about her "inevitable" nomination, and the near blackmail that argument implies. Well, she's not so inevitable now, is she?
Clinton talks about getting Real as she hurls False Charges at Obama. Just because Obama used a few lines from a political advisor and friend for a speech, something that is common in the Senate and in Political Discourse, Clinton Camp accuses Plagiarism, which by definition means you are stealing someone else's words or lines without their knowledge, which is a very serious Charge. Is that her Solution to make this false charge and minor issue into something it's not, to offer more Spin and Illusion, when they know full well exactly what it was and and what it is, and because they too are guilty of the same thing, this borrowing of lines, which in political discourse is common practice.
Her get-real solution to this occasional practice among politicians, is to insult the intelligence of everyday average, citizens by these FALSE CHARGES, distorting the situation, which is total Hypocrisy, because they too have done the same thing and are doing it NOW.
They should apologize to the Country, for turning away from being so-called Real, as she likes to say, to throwing out these kind of false charges of Slime, Distortion and Illusion into the public discourse, trying to muddy the waters, cloud the issues -- to Change Reality! If you are going to raise doubts about an opponent, it should be about real facts and not about illusions -- about truth and not about falsity. As long as we have Politicians who think it is ok to distort, smear and engage in negative and distructive behavior, to tear your opponents down and at the same time the country, we will never begin to actively sovle the many problems facing us today. That we are having an argument about whether words matter or not speaks volumes about the political mindset of some politicians today. We all know words matter and words are not cheap. Americans are growing up and want to move away from this kind of politicking.
Clinton says she has Solutions but the Solution she offered, when it really mattered to millions of lives of young people and to our country, was the Solution and Authorization to go to War --the Iraq War, which was the most Important Policy Decision of Our Times. Her 35 years of experience didn't get it Right then, and that speaks Volumes.....
They say Barack has no experience in public service and does not offer solutions. Here are a list of some of Barack Obama's accomplishments: During first (8) eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced 233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills, 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control, 6 veterans affairs and many others. His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included: **the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law), **The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law), **The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, **The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law), **The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more. In all Barack Obama has Over 20 Years of Public Service and has offered many solutions on health care, global warming, the Iraq War, college tuition grant to students, education reform, the re-building of our infrastructure and much more.
Hillary's really hit an all-time low. I hope this new act of desperation (along with all the fake crying) exposes her for the power-hungry wacko she's become.
