Paul Weyrich For Huckabee
NBC/NJ's Matthew Berger is reporting that Paul Weyrich, the Moral Majority co-founder who had supported Mitt Romney's campaign, is bucking his party's trend toward John McCain to instead endorse Mike Huckabee.
In Virginia Beach today, Huck told reporters that Weyrich called him to notify him of his decision. Details to come.

an endorsement from this Abramoff-tainted, self-serving politico is so fitting.

Weyrich knew nothing about Abramhoff's dealings, as was true with many other DC politicos. Here's a paragraph from a Washington Post article dated Dec. 5, 2005 "Dorgan Tangled in Abramoff Web":
"Democrats are hoping to capitalize on Republican ethical woes. But as The Washington Post reported in June, some prominent Democrats, including former senator Thomas A. Daschle (S.D.), Sens. Harry M. Reid (Nev.) and Byron L. Dorgan (N.D.), were among beneficiaries of the largest campaign contributions from Abramoff's associates and clients."
Democrats and Republicans alike were victims of Abramhoff's dealings.
wx insider, you are full of crap. That was the spin put forth (and gleefully parroted by the Washington Post) initially by you and your ilk. The truth is Jack Abramoff did not donate a single cent to any Democrat. Some of Abramoff's clients that he was swindling did donate to Dems, but they had no connection to Abramoff. Your claims have been disproven again and again, yet you keep repeating them. Doesn't make them so. Sorry there bud.

Just to clarify, when I said "they had no connections to Abramoff", I was talking about the donations that Abramoff's clients gave to Dems. Abramoff was not involved in those donations to the Dems.
Abramoff is a Republican scandal. Period.
