Axelrod: Ferraro Remarks Should Be "Denounced"
David Axelrod called on Hillary Clinton's campaign to firmly rebuke Geraldine Ferraro for saying in a recent interview that: "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position."
"They should be denounced, and she should be censured by the campaign for them," Axelrod said of Ferraro's remarks.
If Clinton's campaign does nothing, Axelrod said during a call with reporters, they are reinforcing a politics-as-usual approach.
"They ought to set a tone and do what we've done when people have said things not in keeping with what is the spirit of our campaign," he said, adding, "the bottom line is this when you wink and nod at offensive statemens you really send a signal to your supporters that anything goes."
Meanwhile, Axelrod suggested that the episode reinforces opinions of Clinton as a "divisive and polarizing force."
"She represents a continuation of a politics that’s become all too familiar in Washington," he said.
The Clinton campaign has not responded to repeated requests for comment.

Hey, Obama!
Instead of whining every single day, could you instead use the microphone demanding that Bill Bradley publicly denounce these remarks from the other day:
"The bigger the lie, the better the chance they think they’ve got. That’s been their whole approach." -- Former Sen. Bill Bradley (D-NJ), quoted by the Times of London, on Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.
Yes, they should denounce these comments which really do cross the line and are rascist. Had the Obama camp pointed out the same about HRC, feminists would be in an uproar. And yet it can easily be argued that HRC only became Senator from New York because her husband was President.
We Democrats need to win in the fall. Yet the Hillary Clinton campaign is determined to take the Party down. She cannot catch up in delegates: she should withdraw immediately. Yet she will not.
I was a strong supporter of HRC. I am shocked by her recent behavior but it validates my intuitive switch to the obama camp. Adversity does show your true character.
Obama spends too much time crying about the small stuff. Is he ashamed of being black/muslim?
It is in all the polls that the black votes are behind Obama ( like 98% ).
It sort of makes her statements true.
I am certain if a woman with his same experience and charm, she would be told to stay home and make cookies like they say about Hillary all the time. Talk about sexest, but that doesn't get brought up. Poor Little Barack......Give it up!

Again with the racist remarks. The only thing they have to say about Obama is personal attacks on his race and heritage. Very desperate and childish. As a woman, I have lost all respect for Ferraro. Ugly, ugly statements that make women look petty and weak.
Why are there white politicians so worried to have a coloured President? America has and will always see its roots linked to NATIVE INDIANS!! Is it fear for the end of white domination? People are all the same regardless of colour. And to the Republicans who claim to be conservatives and Christians who may not know...Christianity is of Middle Eastern origin and Christianity being a Middle Eastern religion has been adopted by the western world as we know it today! So why behave as though Jesus is a White American?...He loves all regardless of colour!

To all the racist who have posted in agreement with this absurdity, racism is so 90's. Change has come, this is the 21st century. Your ridicule of this man based on race/religion/heritage makes white people look bad... know that you are thankfully and finally in the minority.
Funny how detached and ignorant people are about the challenges and obstacles Sen. Obama faces as a black man in this country. Indeed, contemporary and historically unique... Ms. Ferraro has it wrong. If he were a white man, he'd have the nomination sown up already and Sen. Clinton would be vying for a VP position. The manner in which Sen. Clinton has conducted her campaign has made it painfully obvious she is less than deserving of the public's trust. "Win at all cost" is a Republican ideology. For someone who's claimed the victim so many times, she certainly has taken a page out of their (Republican) dirty little playbook. The party and the country deserves better... her character has been and continues to be in question. We've had 7+ years of leadership with questionable character. We certainly don't need more of the same.
Puh-leez! Our "ridicule" of this man based on his race, religion, or heritage???? Again, stop with the crying.
Instead, let's stick with the issues:
What's Barack Obama's U.S. foreign policy experience?
Chris Rock told an Obama audience they would be embarassed if they voted for "the white lady."
Is that racist? Sexist?
Bill Bradley called Clinton a liar. Is that to be denounced?
Obama announced that Clinton was unelectable. Is that the politics of personal destruction?
Obama needs to present his case for why he is ready to be President, not WHINE every single time someone says "Black man" or "Muslim" this year.
It seems like the news media is sacred to death to make any comment about Obama's race. It is much easier to bash Clinton. I am a republican for Mitt Romney, but since the news media is trying to put Obama in the white house and I do not like McCain, you have driven me to vote for Clinton. I like to see things done fairly and the news people have prostraited themselfes for Obaha. You people can no longer call yourselfes obgetive reports.
Well how would the Hillary supporters like it if the media was saying that she is only still in the race because she is a woman. A man who had lost 11 in a row would be too ashamed to continue, but white women are fine with it. If Jesse Jackson had said something as stupid as that, you'd be up in arms.
The fact of the matter is that no one even seriously attacks Hillary for being a woman. But Barack is still fair game, because it's OK to attack blacks by using "code words". The Republicans have made a science out of it. This is one thing that apparently some portion of the Democratic party has now become expert at (although, the Clinton Democrats actually seem to be more overt and racist than the Republicans!)

The interesting thing for me is that I truly believe that the comments made are sentiments that Senator Clinton could have easily made. I would hate to be in the position to vote for her because I believe that these kind of opinions are the 'norm' for her. She has always been someone I felt was 'slimy', though I did like her husband -- I have never liked her.
What foreign policy experience did Bill Clinton, George Bush or Ronald Reagan have before becoming president? None! That's why you choose your cabinet members wisely. Whining has not been part of Obama's campaign, that's saved for the Clintons. If you prefer your information slanted and distorted, you deserve what you get. (i.e. Bush back to back) No one, and I repeat, NO ONE has Presidential experience except for 2nd term presidents! Start thinking critically and quit letting the media and 20 second soundbites think for you. And in case you didn't know, caucasians only make up about 1/7 of the world's populations. Perhaps having a non-white president might bring some good-will, which was sadly squandered by our great white Presidents! Eurocentric foreign policy has gotten us into this mess. Perhaps a different, more communal, dare I say Afrocentric, perspective is warranted at this time in history.
I think Ferraro hit the nail on the head. My belief is a lot of people feel the same way, but, they are afraid to speak out because they want to be liked by all. The press is afraid of sounding racist, so they pick on Hillary. It is the lesser of the two evils to sound sexist. She is one tough lady who can handle all types of situations and problems. She is the one I would want to answer that "phone" call at 3am. Go Hillary.
I would expect comment like that from the Republican side, not a Democrat. Thank goodness that she never became vide-president back then, since this is a clear indication of how she feels about advancing America's multi-cultural society and the kind of VP she would have been. I am appalled by her comments. We do not need racists like her in the Democratic party, nor as part of prosperous America's future-to-be. BTW. I grew up in an apartheid, racist, South Africa, and comments like these bring back memories of that old South Africa. It is very disappointing to see that divisive, racist politics is still alive and well in America today.

here in the last few day's i haven seening a lot of racists comment coming from a lot i throught and believe to be very professional people's, now i get the impression that HRC is a closet racist by her action aganist BHO there's one thing they must accept that the jim crow days or over, and they will never ever come back again in the usa
As a woman, it saddens me to hear Ms. Ferraro's comments...As an African American, it makes me laugh...She's ridiculous, and proof that people really are scared of change...or is she just mad that the vice presidental thing didn't work for her?? Oh well...Obama '08
People are looking for issues of race and creating issues of race to be devisive. Many blacks are proud that they have someone who looks like them who has the potential to be president. These voters would typically be for Clinton thus the foundation for such a comment.
Stop making it an issue about race!
BTW if we included MI and FL Hillary would be ahead so she should stay in the race so we CAN HAVE UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE, JOBS, Better Education System etc....
For you Hillary haters please ask yourself why. Just because is not an answer.
She has always worked for children, families, civil rights, and healthcare to name a few. She is a fighter and focused on goals of improving the status of the middle class.
Go Hillary! 2008
PS My Dream ticket Clinton Obama ticket then Obama Presidency 16 years of peace and prosperity!

She also said that the reason she was selected in 1984 was that she was a woman.
Certain rich families will read these blogs and slap each other high five saying, "See how well our plan works! The little people are all fighting against one another!"
Racism is alive and well and continuing to keep people from working with, instead of against, each other. Obama is running an inclusive campaign. Clinton's campaign is helping to divide the people and the evidence is clear in all of the blogs I have seen.
That is so unfortunate...
Geraldine Ferraro is 100% right. There is no way someone with a Senate record like Obama's and such fluff would ever stand a chance in this race if he was a white man. Barack Obama is using race as his political ticket.
BTW blacks are making it a race issue beacuse many of them are voting for Obama solely based on the fact that he is black-not his record. Many of these same people would vote for Jesse Jackson or Lewis Farrahkan if they had the opportunity.
I am not surprised by Ferraros comments. She has shown herself to be crude in the past and apparently, she has not grown in character or mental acuity in the 20 years. Her struggle to get herself noticed has met with success finally, although limited by her tiny capabilities.
Well done Geraldine but please, struggle for at lest 25 years before making your next statement. Best of luck, I know you can do it.
When Ferraro ran for VP she was very sensitive about being singled out for scrutiny because of her Italian ancestry, especially when it came to an investigation of her campaign finances.
Funny, Hillary still hasn't released her financial statement has she?
Is it because he is black that Mr. Obama has no trouble raising millions over the internet and can be transparent about his finances?
No, it is because he is a true leader.
Is it because there is indeed a latent racism in the Clinton campaign that Mrs. Clinton cannot only officially disavow and repudiate Mrs. Ferraro's comments but also distance herself from Mrs. Ferraro completely?
Perhaps.
Drawing on Obama's enthicity in this campaign shows the Clinton campaign is out of touch with the reality. As far as I know Senator Obama is both black and white - if I should put it this way. I wonder how DNA scientist James Watson would be referred to, if he decides to compete for a public office, since it takes LESS than 16% of black blood to be identified as "black"?
The majority of Americans are wiser now, and will not fall for all those racially divisive lies that has been forced on the population for so long. Those voting for Senator Obama are neither blind nor ignorant.
The electorate are simply tired of Washingtonians, a fresh spirit is what everyone is looking for, which Senator Obama offers.
Ferraros dogged strategy will not work this time. This is an information age - the younger generation has many means to access and share information than the octogenarians could dream of. Ferraros should not follow the likes of James Watson - not let the campaign progress with fairness.
If her accusation of "sexist bias" by the press towards Senator Clinton is true, the press should be ashamed of its ethics and address the situation. American invade countries in the name of freedom, justice and fairness. Let us do away with our hypocrisy - as Jesus said, we should remove the plank from our own eyes first.
Are Keith Olbermann and Howard Fineburg the only reporters who know racism when it's so shamelessly hurled by Ferraro at Senator Obama???? During last night's news Olbermann was almost left speechless at one point by the audacity of Farraro's remark. All other news people treated the loathsome remark so casually and as just another attack on Senator Obama. What a disgrace! What a shame for this country! What's the matter with you people? Ferraro is a racist and HC's repugnancy makes this the most despicable and shameless point of HC's campaign thus far. How much lower can things get?
Ms. Ferraro voiced a concern that is held by MANY Americans. Obama is a smart, charismatic, POTENTIAL leader - but he is not yet qualified to be president of the United States. And like it or not, if he was white, or a woman - everyone would recognize that -maybe even the media. There''s nothing racist or sexist about saying "the emperor has no clothes".
This country is more sexist than racist anymore. Yes, what Geraldine Ferraro has said is true. Taken out of context, but true all the same. What is Obama's experience? What has he done for this country? He's not calling for change, we are. Hillary is up against it all. She was the first to introduce universal healthcare to all Americans eventhough she knew she'd get steamrolled from all sides. Hillary has brought healthcare to many American children who would not have it otherwise. She helped orchestrate PEACE in Northern Ireland. She takes a stand on her beliefs and doesn't back down, not even to the sexest media we have to listen to everyday. Get over yourselves and stand up for this country. Vote for someone who can bring good to the table of World Politics - not to ANOTHER inexperienced puppet who will only give the world more reason to hate Americans. Until George Bush, Americans were loved by most of the world. Think about it. Don't just jump on the band wagon the media are pushing! Our country Needs Hillary.

It is about time someone in the lime light (Geraldine Ferraro) stated the obvious. We as Americans have become so scared of being labled "racist" that we will elect a black man as president although he has no qualifications. His message of change is great...but what is the change? His health careprogram is no better than what we have. Of course his race is going to vote for him, but does that mean that we all have to bow down and take that road so as not be labled racist to the rest of the world? No. I would rather vote for John McCain than Obama and that is even more scary than being called a racist.
Let's state the facts: Hilliary changed the tone of the race because she whinned everytime the chips were down and the general population appeased her. Her whinning is divisive.
Another point, white people have always voted for white people...that's never been made an issue. Black people have always voted for white people(usually democrates but not always) that was always appreciated. So what's the big deal with blacks voting for a black candidate who appeal to them...I just don't get it. Also keep in mind that Hilliary still has a lot of black supporters men and women: Maxine Waters and Ms. Jones in Ohio just to name a couple.
This race is about picking a candidate that appeals to you. Whites and blacks alike find Obama's message appealling because he is a candidate of substance, unlike Ferraro suggested.
When Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton ran they didn't get all the black vote...many blacks voted for white candidates during that time and it was no big deal. Is it because Barack Obama is an electable candidate that has so many stirred up?
The thing I find most ironic is that Barack Obama would like to unify everyone regardless of race, gender, religion etc. You would never hear him say some like: "the Latinos will vote for me" because he realizes that statements like this is divisive. (Hilliary said this after the SC primary going into Super Tuesday I.)
Every time Hilliary whines the public hands her a box of chocolate covered cherries and frankly I think she's already ruling the country.
(1) After losing Iowa she got teary eyes in public...women supporters felt compassion for her and rallied to her side in New Hampshire.
(2) When blacks supported Obama in SC she said the Latinos would vote for her...and while they typically vote Republican they rallied to her support...by the way I thought that comment was divisive.
(3) She wanted debate after debate, which she got. During the Texas or Ohio debates she complained about Obama receiving positive press over her and that she always got the first question. There again, the general public rallied to her side. Saturday Night Live began to make fun on Obama, Hilliary made numerous appearance on several shows leading into Tx/OH and news stations were running old stories that had already been addressed by Obama. Obama camp made mistakes as well...not to mention all the dirty tactics that came out of Clinton's camp. "They throw rocks and hide their hands."
(4) After Ohio she wanted to seat Florida and Michigan to her advantage. I think their voices should be heard, but seating the delegates in Florida as is would be inappropriate because Clinton is a well known political figure while Obama is not. In every primary or caucus she has lead initially until people meet him. Since neither candidate campaigned in those states Clinton automatically held an advantage.
They all whine because they want to be treated fairly. Let everyone get back to being positive. I thought Ferraro's comment implied Obama's campaigne lack substance. I never took it to be racist. Many leaders and political figures are saying negative things about Obama and while many do not like the Clintons they would rather have her over a black man. I think geniune folks of all color will continue to take note of him. He is not going "gentlely in thy good night."
Geraldine is only stating the facts...he is inexperienced...has not a good track record, is closet gay, has taken kickbacks, involved in crimal acts...not that he is balack...his change is NO CHANGE
Geraldine is only stating the facts...he is inexperienced...has not a good track record, is closet gay, has taken kickbacks...not that he is black...his change is NO CHANGE
I agree with Geraldine Ferraro, If Obama was a white guy, Hillary would have locked up the nomination a long time ago. He has benefitted from the black vote just because he is an African American. That isn't rascist, that is the truth. What has he done? Nothing! He couldn't even be bothered to sit on the committee he heads in the senate. He hasn't done anything except become the first Black presidential candidate. Most of the black voters are voting for the first time, not because he is the best candidate, but beacause he is Black. Get a grip you Obama supporters and name one thing this guy has accomplished in his political career. Can't, can you?
If Obama were to stoop to Hillary's level, he could argue that she wouldn't be where she is, unless she was a woman, and the wife of a former President. But he won't, because his character and the way he's running this campaign are much more mature than this ridiculous comment. If he's a success because he's "black", then what about his white mother? Maybe she had some part in his upbringing too?!
Sorry, in my comment above, I should have said "If Obama were to stoop to Geraldine Ferraro's level..." The rest of my comment stands.

hurray for geraldine! a democrat that speaks the truth! how about you blacks start worrying about things like blk on blk crime, the 70% illigitamacy rate,a race of people who commit 46% of all murders in the u.s.-despite being only 12% of the population!

Well gee, Sean, Geraldine *forgot* to notice that HIllary is where she is, because she's a woman, and the wife of a former President.
And are you insinuating that Obama is a criminal?
You may think it's "true" that a woman is inferior to a man, but it doesn't mean you can say it. Not everyone agrees that is true.
Well, Geraldine, not everyone thinks Barack is where he is because he's black, and you can't say it because not everyone thinks that's true.
It was a racist remark and the fact that she just doesn't know what all the fuss is about just underlines her decrepit, racist attitude...the kind Barack is trying get rid of in politics
Would Geraldine Ferraro have been nominated in the past, were she a black woman? Perhaps it's time that she looks into herself a little bit more.
Would Geraldine Ferraro have been nominated in the past, were she a black woman? Perhaps it's time that she looks into herself a little bit more.
Hillary is obviously desperate and is more blatantly and aggressively using what she and her campaign feel is their trump card, "the race card". It started with Bill's comments in New Hampshire and have continuallly become less veiled.
I think it is ridiculous for the media to continually point out that Senator Obama captures the greater percentage of the african-american vote. Of course he does. But not simply because he is black, as clinton as tried to reduce it to. But, because she has made a decision to alienate african-americans. And the idea that Sen Obama will not win "the big" states in the general election, just because she won them in the primary is utterly ridiculous.
Everyday her actions reveal that she just doesn't get that us everyday folks want change. They are having a really hard time wrapping their heads around that concept.
I do believe black Americans are voting for Obama because he is black. That's ok with me. I am voting for Hillary because she is a woman. Both candidates are intelligent, dedicated public servants and deserve the right to run for President until the final decision in November. People do have the right to vote for the candidate of their choice for their own personal reason. That's America and we should thank God for it. Does anyone really want to change our right to vote for our own reasons?
I think what Geraldine Ferraro is suggesting is that Barack Obama is being given some special pass to be allowed to run for the presidency because he is black, somewhat like she was given a special pass to run for the vice-presidency by Mondale because she was a woman, despite her sparse qualifications. How confusing, odd, twisted and inappropriate of her to say this. How confusing, odd, twisted, and inappropriate of the Clinton campaign to not censor her for saying it. I am, just about the whitest guy you'll ever meet. I voted (and will vote) for Barack Obama because I believe he is an inspirational, transformational and unifying person, not because he is black. I would vote for a woman who possessed these same characteristics regardless of race (or gender). Unfortunately, Hillary doesn't fit the bill.
Hillary's really lucky she's a woman otherwise she wouldn't be in this position. Yep, THAT statement from anyone in Obama's campaign would have gotten attacked by the Clinton campaign for being sexist so how is what Ferraro said any different? And for Ferraro to go and say her words were being spun and taken out of context is pathetic. How can they be taken out of context when they are a direct quote from her?
The typical double standard we continue to see in life-long politicians - do as I say, not as I do. If Obama's campaign had made the statement above, Clinton would be demanding that person be fired yet Ferraro is still employed by the Clinton campaign. Another example of the Clinton mentality of 'do whatever it takes to win'.
Oh easy to say , but Hillary is up there and known obviously because she is Bill Clinton's wife and because she is a woman, the campaign says so and the exit polls prove. Aint I stupid? In school she was better than Bill so why not Ferraro must be absolutely wrong b'cos Obama's is where he is not through affirmative action or BushHarvard theory?
It just scary how so much racism still exsist in the Democratic party..It seems athough people agree with Ferraro statement or how they continue to make excuses for her blunder to the point i'm am sick of them all..Mrs Clinton was the one who started with the racist remarks..And when it comes to experience Mrs Clinton has no more experience than Mr. Obama in office...So people let vote for the right person not the color of the person skin..
This is a new game that I don't think the public knows how to play - the voters need to ignore the race and gender cards that politicians are throwing around and DEMAND that the tough questions be asked! It's obvious that her comment is her own speculative opinion about Obama's success, but they are all playing you and the media, right?! They are pulling our strings - how offensive. Will you stand for it, or go along? The media needs to quit tip toe'n around candidates and freely ask the tough questions! This is a Democracy not mob rule, and trust me there is a fine line.
The News Media hates Hillary Clinton so much, more than any man running, that they have chosen Obama over Clinton and that's why
Obama is winning when the OTHER Black candidates years before did not win....they were not running against a WOMAN.
America is very sexist STILL.
I know for a fact, having lived in Mississippi that MOST THE BLACK people WOULD NOT HAVE voted for Obama if he WERE MORE WHITE using the SAME SPEECH he used in CANTON, MISS.
The fact that the news media keeps saying over and over that "AFRICAN- AMERICAN VOTERS are VOTING OVER WHELMINGLY FOR OBAMA".....AKA: THE BLACK GUY IN THE ROOM.
FERRARO IS RIGHT AND THE NEWS MEDIA CONFIRMS IT EVERY NIGHT. DUH.
LOU DOBBS also called Obama out for "Pandering" to the races.
It's all about Gender and RACE now.
Look at the Double Standards:
Obama admitted he lied to the country when he said his financial advisor Never talked to the Canadian government. The news media lets him off the hook because he said he was ignorant to what his staff was doing.
Obama said he used "poor judgement" when he did a real estate deal with a KNOWN CRIMINAL. He was Caught but the news media does not rake him over the fire like they did Senator Clinton during the Whitewater deal.
When he was not able to vote, he SAID he would not have voted to aid Bush to go to War. Yet....
Obama voted with Senator Clinton on every Iraqi bill in the Senate when he became a Senator. .
Obama is half-black- half Muslim- Half Christian. He is an ambigous character in his upbringing as well questionable character in his dealing and association with Rezko and his "pastor" Farrakhan who called white people "skunks and blue eyed devils" and Jews "bloodsuckers" and just the same has participated in namecalling of gay people. Why doesn't the media expose this association with Obama? Hillary has NEVER been part of such groups. Obama has... Why? To foster a better political career? Why? Tell me who you walk with, and I will tell you who you are. Tell me who is the presidential candidate who will do anything to further his career. Hands down: The reason why he is where he is: He is black. Eye openner: He is the one who will do anything to advance his career. Sometimes you have to be politically correct but other times you just need to say the truth---which no one wants to hear-- and Ferraro is correct and the media should scrutinize these deadly and hatefully dangerous associations.

Guys you need to stop this - they are both politicians pulling your strings (take a political science class). They are ripping your party apart!
I'm Republican, so I'm simply observing now, but if you let your candidate treat you this way, pulling race and gender cards like this. it will bring us all down!
Ignore the race and gender cards and ask them BOTH the hard questions while you still can!
I am profoundly disappointed in Geraldine Ferraro concerning her racial slurs and innuendo against a perfectly qualified candidate for the Presidency, and against ALL of his supporters. I had held a very high regard for her as the V.P. candidate on the National ticket with Walter Mondale, and did vote for her at the time of her candidacy. After the cheap and morally deficient comments that she made about Senator Obama, I am so thankful that she did not get into national office, as I look back over time, as she would have been WRONG for our nation. It is evident to me that she lacks a moral center that would cause her intense personal shame for making such unfair, and inherently un-American remarks for what can only be self-serving, and sordid political interests. How she has squandered her life and the opportunities that have been set before her!

Ignore the race and gender cards and ask them BOTH the hard questions while you still can!
HILLARY IS A WHITE WOMAN AND HAS NO BUSINESS BEING PRESIDENT,SHE NEEDS TO GO HOME AND LOOK AFTER BILL,CAUSE HE'S ANSWERING THE PHONE AND HE'S NOT TALKING TO HILLARY HE'S TALKING TO MONICA. NOW PEOPLE START YOUR CRYING AND SEE HOW STUPID THIS IS. IM'S SURE THAT NOBODY LIKE WHAT I SAID, BUT IT'S OK TO USE OBAMA IN A RACIAL SLUR,WHAT IN THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ALL YOU RACIST.

Yep! If things keep going in this direction we'll have another 4 years of Republican rule: John McCain and Mitt Romney. The hand writing is on the wall and is written in black and white.
Finally, why are folks so upset that blacks vote for a black candidate? Blacks have and still do support white candidates. Will someone please help me understand the problem here?

Her remarks are racist and are not taken out of context but just bring to the forefront the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party.
A candidate should be judged by his or her political views not race or gender. Hilary has no more experience than Barack in running this country. Secondly, why should this country be subjected to two decades of this country being run by two families?
If Hilary is such a sure fire winner why is she still struggling? Her campaign has her been a desperate display of political shenanigans demonstrating her desire to win by any means necessary.
Hopefully the African American and Non White voters will begin to wake up and 'smell the coffee' that the wolf is in sheeps clothing.
I do agree with Ferraro's comments about Obama being lucky to be who he is. If he were white he would not be where he is at in this game with nothing to stand on to be world leader. Edwards was not any less but he was not given the same chance. It is said that he is a great orator, charismatic Is that all it takes to be U.S. president. Where are the issues? What is his stance? It is kind of bitter; it is kind of ironic that the Obama camp are playing the card (you can't say what you want about him) because of who he is 'Black.'That should have been Hillary's line be gentle to me (because I am female). I agree she has been treated quite unfairly in the media in comparison to Barack. We have come to the point that anything that is said about Obama is miscontrued as exploiting his background such as his middle name Hussein, talking about his trip to Kenya, showing his father's poor family in Kenya. I say boo hoo! If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.
The Ignorance on this forum is astonishing.
Obama is not muslim. He is Christian.
Any pronouncements by people like mnjack saying, "Is he ashamed of being black/muslim?"
are either profoundly ignorant, deeply stupid, or intentionally misleading.
Heck, technically he's not even black, he is bi-racial - half African, half American.
It is amazing at how some HRC supporters are ignorant of the facts and reality. They are just talking out of necessity. Some of These HRC Supporters are so ignorant it begs the question whether they actually even know their facts. Please read the facts and argue the facts not empty talk. I was a very strong Hillary Supporter until i saw actually who she is. I met her personally and was even a precinct Captain. If you are Still in Hillary Camp get out before the ship sinks. Remember TITANIC
You guys kill me! The idot who brags that he is a Republican still has his head in the sand. Look around you, do you like paying over 3 bucks for a stinking gallon of gas? This country is a mess and if Obama wins the democratic nomination- I'm going to vote for me! A vote for McCain is another Bush administration for the next 4 years. Obama can't beat McCain, Hilary can! These primaries are such horseshit, Republicans go and vote for Obama because they don't McCain to have to lose to Hilary! Remember I said this!
