MS For Obama
Barack Obama snagged a victory in Mississippi tonight, though the results fell largely along racial lines with blacks supporting him and whites voting not quite proportionately for Hillary Clinton, according to the AP.
CNN is reporting that the contest was tight; as of this hour, Obama is up 50% to 48%. There are 33 delegates in play in MS.
The AP noted that only two other primary states were as racially polarized -- Alabama and Arkansas.

Iam glad Obama keeps racking up success after success. He is one of the finest candidates America has seen in a long, long time.
Interjecting race in the elections reflects poorly on the Clinton campaign. They have done everything possible to undermine Obama's chances, but by having done so ultimately will backfire one way or the other.
I suspect her chances of winning have been greatly damaged. In the unlikely event Hillary somehow wins the nomination it is even more unlikely she could win the general election. Having alienated the African American community voters, the youth voters, many independent voters it is difficult to see how she could without their support. Iam not suggesting they will not vote for her, but a percentage will not. I suspect many will reluctantly, but whether any volunteer time or money to her campaign remain to be seen.
Worse endorsing McCain as a better candidate for president against Obama is a cardinal sin -- a boundary Hillary overstepped. Jeopardizing the party's chances to win the White House hardly gains favour with party members. Many are under the impression Hillary has shown her political ambitions are more important than the democratic party. Whether that can be reconciled later is not clear, but cutting off her nose to spite her face will ultimately cost her in the long run.
