Pray It Ain't So
Jeremiah Wright was bumped from Barack Obama's African American Religious Leadership Committee tonight, per a campaign source.
Not a good news day in Obamaland. The question is -- Who had the poor judgment to put Obama's rabblerousing pastor on the committee in the first place?
(JENNIFER SKALKA)

Well arguably most of those "bad news" were actually driven all at once by the Obama campaign.
Not a good news cycle but long-term I think this will be seen as a masterfully use of the Friday news dump strategy.
Ben -
That sounds alot like Clinton/Bush politics of yesterday... What happened to changing how politics work?
Bob, releasing a ridiculous non-story on a Friday hoping it goes away is not "Clinton/Bush politics." Releasing a huge scandal on a Friday hoping it goes away IS "Clinton/Bush politics."
Like the Clinton campaign, you are mixing strategy and tactics.
It a fact of life the day-to-day tactics have to be cognizant of the media environment Obama is running his campaign under.
His strategy, though, does not involve race-baiting, fear-mongering, tax-return-hiding, word-twisting, silly-controversy-fanning. His message is different.
Does not mean we should blame him when he handles bad news stories in a clever way.
Isn't that when Clinton says she does better than everyone ?
I know Obama put himself in that dilemna with the holier-than-thou tone of his campaign. Dammed if he does, dammed if he does not (not ready to handle the GE !).
But give him credit for trying to change the tone.
This is all fine and dandy but Hussein Obama has still managed to dodge questions. His press release earlier was weak at best. How does a father let his children go to a church were this type of hate for America and other races is preached? Who lets a guy like this preside over his marriage...baptize his children? Its pretty convenient to denounce his pastor now, but what about the last 20 years?? Did Hussein Obama just now decide that what his preacher has been preaching is wrong?
Still too many questions and no solid answers from Hussein Obama and his America hating wife
Come to find out, Barack Obama's spiritual leader is a racist!
Actually, Benjamin, it really should be obvious now that Obama's strategy has always been race-baiting.
Here's the "new tone" he's brought us...
From implying that Ferraro is a racist, to implying that Bill Clinton is a racist, to implying the Bob Johnson is a racist, to implying that Hillary Clinton is a racist, to implying that Billy Shaheen is a racist, to implying that the state of New Hampshire is racist, to the very first racist AND sexist comment in this entire campaign:
November 30, 2007
Barack Obama stepped onto the Clintons' turf in the fight for the black vote last night, appearing at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem, near the office President Clinton has worked in since he left the Oval Office.
Obama didn't speak much about the Clintons, but comedian Chris Rock did.
He told the audience they'd be "real embarrassed" if Obama won and they had been backing Clinton instead.
"You'd say, 'I had that white lady! What was I thinking," he said, according to the Associated Press.
Jan,
He didn't imply the Clintons were racist. Black people made the inference themselves. Your problem is not with Obama's "race-baiting." Your problem is with black people who have good reason to be sensitive to racism in America.
No, Elrod, my problem is not with black people being sensitive about race; my problem is with Barack Obama's campaign's race-baiting:
1)Chris Rock, introducing Barack Obama, contributed the very first racist AND sexist remarks of any campaign.
2)Obama's campaign IMMEDIATELY blamed his NH loss on "The Bradley Effect" -- code for "White people really don't like us behind closed doors."
3)Hillary Clinton said it took LBJ's perspiration along with MKL's inpsiration, and "some" of Obama's supporters were "concerned." Puh-leez! "Some" were "concerned" about what? That, in mentioning a white guy's name in the same breath as MLK's, Hillary Clinton is somehow a racist?
4)Jesse Jackson himself said that he found nothing racist about Bill Clinton's comments in SC. Yet, somehow, Barack Obama's campaign DID! A uniter, not a divider? Where have we heard those WORDS before?
So, Elrod...
Barack Obama's campaign demands that person after person after person from the Clinton campaign repudiate anything that Sweet Hope Obama deems "divisive."
And then, America finds out that Barack Obama's pastor sells videos that are filled with horribly divisive anti-White, anti-Clinton, and anti-American rhetoric from his Sunday sermons.
Barack Obama gets to stand aside and shoot down Hillary Clinton's experience... because, while he admits he may not have much experience, he promises America that he has great judgement.
Elrod, if Obama agrees with you -- that black people have a right to be sensitive to racism -- then Barack Obama needs to stop claiming that he sees a united states of America. He doesn't; he sees a black America and a white America.
Barack Obama and his children get their spiritual guidance in a church where the congregation claps and cheers and even high-fives a man who says truly despicable things -- from the pulpit -- about white Americans and, specifically by name, about U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
That's about as divisive as it gets in American politics, don't you think? Or don't white women have a "right" to be sensitive to sexism?
Sensitive black men should realize that women -- of any color, white or otherwise -- were not able to vote in America for about half a century after black men got their right to vote in America.
So, forgive us, Elrod, but a black man's "sensitivity" about his lack of rights in America sometimes sounds like a bit of whining to many women.
my favorite comment was Mr. Wright attacking black republicans like Ms. Rice for selling out there race. I don't understand how Obama can hope to bridge the gaps in this country if simply not being in Democratic Party makes you evil. You know he has heard these speeches and to date I have never heard him to speech about how questionable it is that democrats vote for 80-90% in favor of democrats yet are still treated terrible by them. And the few blacks that have got wise to the lies of the democrats who come into the churches and lie to them are attacked to thinking. Its sad that Hillary really is the stronger candidate because Blacks don’t think they just vote for democrats regardless of candidate and until they get wise there not going to get any respect from either party.
Who is Senator Obama trying to fool? Now he wants to do damage control by denouncing his pastor, but he still attends church there. I am SHOCKED that it took over a month for Senator Obama to finally say something about his pastor. This is the same pastor that Senator Obama supports through his regular tithing! The Senator family donates thousand of dollars to this church annually. That means he support his pastor's RACIAL overtones and revolutionary statements of overthrowing America. Who does Senator Obama trying to fool and what is he trying to hide? Why is he openly, freely, and devotedly donated all that money to a cause if he doesn't believe in it? Why is Senator Obama lying to America? This is as bad as Senator Obama still accepting all that money from his crooked land developer that he supposedly hasn't seen nor talked to in years? HE'S JUST TRYING TO DO THIS BECAUSE HE NEEDS THE CHRISTIAN VOTE! HOW CAN HE CALL HIMSELF A CHRISTIAN WHEN HE SUPPORTS A CHURCH THAT OPENLY PREACHES THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA AND CHRISTIANITY! GO TO HIS CHURCH WEBSITE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!
Who will Obama Denounce this week? Who will be next to fall on his sword? Who will make more cashing in on their notoriety, Wright or Spitzer's Ho?
How appropriate is to take your children, if your name is Obama, and have your little girls witness the lewd, pornographic 'sex act simulation' of Rev. Wright gyrating at hte pulpit wildly yelling: "Ya, Bill Clinton loves us like Monica, he's riding us dirty, like monica!"
Where was his parental, never mind presidential, judgment in not challenging this hate and profanity 20 years ago, rather than make a politically expedient speech for his own survival?!! Not good enough. Highly inappropriate and he should post an X-RATED sign outside the church to protect at least other parents' children from this toxic abuse to their souls that would be perpetuated..
This is not Christian sermons, it's Marxism masquerading as theology and even though his 'uncle' made some truthful points, think of the hatred these kids would have absorbed from this manipulating pastor!! No, Obama, has no judgment to speak of!
