Scorched Earth
PARIS, KY. -- Bill Clinton raised the issue of seating FL and MI's delegates again today, telling a Kentucky audience that Barack Obama's camp is "desperate to disenfranchise" those states. He said Obama's team wants to prevent votes from being counted in upcoming states because they "know she can" win.
Clinton started the event at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds by giving a status update to the crowd on "where we are" in the race. He dramatically told his account of Hillary Clinton's victories on Super Tuesday and later in OH and TX, which were, in his view, against the odds given the support of "glitterati" for Obama. Clinton, he said, also had a financial disadvantage.
"And so now they're saying it all over again -- 'Well, she can't really win,'" he said. "They know she can. That's why -- if they thought she couldn't win, the other side wouldn't be so desperate to disenfranchise Florida and Michigan, throw their election away. Or to say, why do we even need to vote in Pennsylvania and North Carolina and Indiana and Kentucky and West Virginia and Oregon and Puerto Rico. I'll tell you why, cause you're Americans, too, and you deserve to have your voice heard. Don't you be fooled."
As he first did yesterday, Clinton also noted the historic nature of John McCain's bid, saying he could be the " oldest person who ever got elected president." When the crowd packed into the small venue laughed, Clinton said he didn't mean that as a slight.
"You know I've learned something," he said. "When you get a certain age, young is somebody that's a day younger than you are."

The only reason HRC is wining these states is because Republicans are voting for her in record numbers (119,000 in TX alone), knowing she is easier to defeat.
It's nice that President Clinton has learned what 'young' means. I wonder when he will learn what 'honest' means.
Should we teach our children and teenaged grandchildren that if in fact they LIE, they really only "MISSPOKE" and that apparently is a much lesser offence - perhaps only just a tiny little mistake with no punishment attached? As a matter of fact, let us blame the person who you perceived wronged you and that way we can rid ourselves of the MISSTATEMENT altogether! Is this really what our lives have come down to? I refuse to be a part of that facade. If my grandchildren LIE, they will find out what the consequence of that action is because they will not get away with that type behavior when they get out in the real world - or will they? I guess if the want to be president, I should not punish them at all since this should be considered "experience" for that position. Oh god deliver me from this absolute deliberate LYING FROM BILLARY!!!!
When is a party leader (besides Bill) going to step up and tell Bill and Hill to shut up. Their time has passed and if they want to preserve any legacy, they better tone it down.
I don't even know what all of you are talking about -- sounds like complete trash. Who the HELL cares about tax records, making your story sound better when on the trail, and all this other complete crap. WE HAVE A COUNTRY THAT IS SINKING EXTREMELY FAST, and all of you are so worried about things that mean nothing at all. We need a President that will fight for we Americans and fight hard. All I have seen from Hillary is a huge fight. If she put one half of her fight into the White House we would see a turn around in this country. Oh, vote for Obama and you will see pictures in the paper of Sermons by Reverend Wright in the Rose Garden, or William Ayers roaming the halls of the White House. The entire world is laughing at we Americans and all we are doing is digging the hole deeper and deeper. ALL I CAN SAY IS GOOD LUCK AMERICA!!!!!!!
