WJC: Clinton/Obama Would Be "Unstoppable Force"
NBC/NJ's Mike Memoli is reporting that Bill Clinton said this morning that he would be open to a joint ticket with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. He didn't specify who would be in the top spot, however.
"I know that she has always been open to it, because she believes that if you can unite the energy and the new people that he's brought in and the people in these vast swaths of small town and rural America that she's carried overwhelmingly, if you had those two things together she thinks it'd be hard to beat," he said in response to a voter question during an event at Pass Christian High School on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.
More: "I mean you look at the, you look at the, you look at the map of Texas and the map in Ohio. And the map in Missouri or -- well Arkansas's not a good case because they know her and she won every place there. But you look at most of these places, he would win the urban areas and the upscale voters, and she wins the traditional rural areas that we lost when President Reagan was president. If you put those two things together, you'd have an almost unstoppable force."

So I guess Obama has crossed the "potential CiC treshold" in the past two days, hasn't he ?
There is no way I would support a ticket with Obama as a V.P to Billary Clinton. In fact, there is no way I would support a ticket that has Hillary Clinton's name on it period.

Who cares what Bill Clinton thinks? He forfeited his "party leader" role when he used race-baiting remarks about Barak Obama.
No way I'm voting for Hillary for president -- I don't care who the VP is. The media and punidts are flat wrong when they voters, like me, who refuse to vote for Hillary under any circumstance, will "come around." That is absolutely not happening!
The Presidency is not about the party, it's about the person. Hillary lost my vote forever after her remarks about McCain/Obama.
Before we all start swearing off HRC under any circumstances whatsoever, let's think about the consequences. Remember when Ralph Nader ran in 2000 and said there was no difference between Gore and Bush? I hope we're not sitting here 8 years from now regretting 2 terms of McCain because HRC's style of politics somehow offended our sense of propriety. HRC or Obama, either one, is a better choice. If you can't come around to that, then you need to be prepared for 8 more years of the worst that could possibly happen. Please keep all of this in perspective. Right now it's just politics. After November it's governing and we need better governing whatever the politics. Bad governing should offend us not aggressive politics.
Anything that has Hillarys name attached will get me to vote Republican
Why would Barack Obama ever consent to being Hillary Clinton's VP? He would bring a great deal to the table and get nothing in return. She personifies the very politics that he is running against. Obama would enrage his own supporters with such a deal. And the role of the VP is difficult enough without Bill Clinton knocking around the White House.
Translation: Hillary has no chance in hell of getting the nomination unless Obama agrees to having her as a running mate. But wait; why would Obama who she says is unqualified be qualified enough to be her running mate? Can you say bi-polar??????

Dream ticket alright!! Maybe the Democrats would win back some of the House and Senate seats they lost after the first two years of the Bill and Hillary show in 1994.
Hillary puts Obama down one day, then pretends that she wants him on the ticket with her the next; How could she want someone that has no experience other than "giving a speech in 2002" as she stated the other day. We do not need another 4-8 years of the Clinton/Bush cabal in the oval office. Could she be saying this about Obama simply because she is pandering??? No, no, her finger is not really chapped from holding it up in the wind to see what she should say just to get votes.
Yes, winning is important, but having ethics and presenting your true feelings are what sets leaders apart from mere politicians.....
1. google "Hillary"
2. click on the paid ad for hillaryclinton.com
This will help her get rid of some of the millions of dollars she doesn't want the US public to know about. She'll release her tax return AFTER she gets the nod... kind of like getting to squeeze the fruit AFTER you have paid for it.
Yes it would provide great depth in leadership
[Clinton/Obama team] I think experience and age does provide enrichment and wisdom, youth adds energy. Dot.
BillClinton may think that an Obama-Clinton ticket would be "unstoppable," but he overlooks the one thing that would stop it: Bill Clinton.
In the case where Sen. Obama is the Democratic Party's nominee, would he want a situation where he is sure to be forced, at some point, into dealing with whatever follows Bill's foray into Khazikistan? The truth is that he has several options (Bill Richardson might be one of them) that could be excellent choices. Given Sen. Clinton's negatives plus the prospect of Bill Clinton in close proximity to the White House, who could blame Sen. Obama for looking eslewhere?
In the case where Sen. Clinton is the nominee, whoever signs on as her VP will immediately be marginalized by the resence of Bill. Should the VP be regarded as a rival to Sen. Clinton, you could expect the marginalization to the total. Why would Sen. Obama accept a VP poisiton in this circumstance?
Clinton-Obama, Obama-Clinton, no matter how you make the soup, Bill is going to be a big fly in the bowl.
I wouldbe very surprised if any experienced Democratic leader takes talk of a joint ticket seriously.
What a shock! I mean, for a minute there, I thought Bill Clinton might say that in fact Obama is a better candidate than Hillary. The fact he has come out in support of Hillary is the shocker of the year. I thought he will be supporting Obama or perhaps even McCain. I hope this makes the headlines of today's (Monday's) papers. Bill Clinton is the first president to attest for Hillary. This will be the talk of the nation through the rest of the primary season. The fact that their names are both Clinton and the fact that they are husband and wife is merely coincidental and has nothing to do within Bill Clinton's ringing endorsement of Hillary Clinton and a Clinton-Obama ticket.
Let's just say it out loud as others have in some circles. An Obama-Clinton ticket is a bad idea for Obama's electability, governability and more importantly longevity -- it would be an effective back door way for Clinton to become president.
Hillary doesn't get rewarded for playin dirty with a VP slot. She would probably use it to lose the election for Obama so she could run again in 2012. All she gets for being a nasty, power-hungry b**tch is BUBKES!
Let's break this down...She says he's not ready to be president at the same time suggesting that she will select him as her running mate. So she either...
1. Really thinks he's not ready and will add him to the ticket only to pick up some votes or...
2. Thinks he would make a good VP, but telling America he's not ready only to pick up some votes.
Either way, the Clinton's strategy has always been to say whatever it takes to pick up votes.
All this campaigning for your wife is getting to your head. In case you hadn't noticed, Obama has a lead of 155 pledged delegates. She will never close that gap, even in MI and FL are included. I know you will get over this loss by hiring an intern. It is Hillary you should be worried about. Poor woman with the "35 years of national political experience" -- people just didn't buy it... Next time, she should run a real campaign, instead of just showing up and expecting to win.
