Council member and newly elected superdelegate Harry Thomas Jr., initially a supporter of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, is announcing in minutes that he will cast his vote at the Democratic National Convention in Denver for Sen. Barack Obama.
Thomas received more than 100 phone calls and e-mails from constituents who feared that he would use his power as a superdelegate to vote for Clinton despite the city's overwhelming support of Obama in the Potomac Primary.
"After meeting with the candidates and listening to my constituents, I have to honor the 83 percent who support Barack Obama," he said in an interview, referring to the results of the Democratic primary..
That makes four Super Ds in 48 hours to declare for Obama.
Then this must be over then right?
So, did he actually DO IT? I found no press release (no AP, Reuters, etc.) report that he actually did this. Perhaps he did not switch!!!

But first, all of you have to make certain that Hillary Clinton takes the democratic nomination and then the Whitehouse. NOW! is the time. THIS! is the moment you have all been working, and waiting for. You can do this America. “Carpe diem” (harvest the day).
I think Hillary Clinton see’s a beautiful world of plenty for all. She’s a woman, and a mother. And it’s time America. Do this for your-selves, and your children’s future. You will have to work together on this and be aggressive, relentless, and creative. Americans face an even worse catastrophe ahead than the one you are living through now.
You see, the medical and insurance industry mostly support the republicans with the money they ripped off from you. And they don’t want you to have quality, affordable universal health care. They want to be able to continue to rip you off, and kill you and your children by continuing to deny you life saving medical care that you have already paid for. So they can continue to make more immoral profits for them-selves.
Hillary Clinton has actually won by much larger margins than the vote totals showed. And lost by much smaller vote margins than the vote totals showed. Her delegate count is actually much higher than it shows. And higher than Obama’s. She also leads in the electoral college numbers that you must win to become President in the November national election. HILLARY CLINTON IS ALREADY THE TRUE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!
As much as 30% of Obama's primary, and caucus votes are Republicans trying to choose the weakest democratic candidate for McCain to run against. These Republicans have been gaming the caucuses where it is easier to vote cheat. This is why Obama has not been able to win the BIG! states primaries. Even with Republican vote cheating help.
Hillary Clinton has been OUT MANNED! OUT GUNNED! and OUT SPENT! 4 and 5 to 1. Yet Obama has only been able to manage a very tenuous, and questionable tie with Hillary Clinton.
If Obama is the democratic nominee for the national election in November he will be slaughtered. Because the Republican vote cheating help will suddenly evaporate. All of this vote fraud and republican manipulation has made Obama falsely look like a much stronger candidate than he really is. YOUNG PEOPLE. DON’T BE DUPED! Think about it. The democratic party, and the super-delegates have a decision to make. Are the democrats, and the democratic party going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee to fight for the American people. Or are the republicans going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee through vote fraud, and gaming the DEMOCRATIC party primaries, and caucuses.

I am amazed you can breath jacksmith considering how far you have your head up HRC's a**. You have bought into the total fabrication by the media and the Clinton campaign that this is a close race..More research would be recommended into how a nominee actually gets the nomination (here is a clue..actual delegates won not potential delegates a candidate may win).
Please look into the donations that HRC has received and the source. I am sure you would find it hard to spin those not to mention the veiled blackmail letter sent to Nancy Pelosi by CLINTON's big money backers.
I also find it amusing that you keep mentioning Bill Clinton's record for support of Hillary. I guess I must have missed the part where Hillary was the elected President and put forth all those policies! In addition, if you find experience by association do you apply the same guilt by association fairly? Just questioning because you would have to have serious misgivings considering Bill had impeachment proceedings brought against him (Yes, I know.."it was a vast right wing conspiracy") not to mention his illicit affair IN THE OVAL OFFICE of all places. Is this what we can expect from Hillary too? Be careful, your logic might just come back to confront you...
As for the republicans voting for Obama just because they perceive him to be the weaker candidate...Wake up and smell the coffee please..Dont you think they are doing the same thing to Hillary? This may be one reason why she has been able to stay afloat the past couple of months...If you look at all the past polling before the primary season, Hillary had the ability to walk on water and come back from the dead. Her corona...err nomination was just a formality. But when the actual early elections took place when most republicans were busy choosing their own candidate, her Highness did not garner overwhelming support from the democrats out there. After Supertuesday many could already sense weakness in her campaign and her ablitity to beat the Republican nominee...

Its insulting to woman and to men. Somehow, electing a woman as President or even an African American as President would suddenly fix every issue. How absurd. I prefer to think of each person as an individual with unique skill sets and talents. Whomever is best for the job at the time regardless of race, gender, etc. should be the one who gets it. Besides, she will not be the last woman to run for the presidency considering the ever growing number of female elected officials and should not be considered the last best hope...Just a couple of weeks ago my 8 year old daughter expressed an interest and I'm sure there are many other young ladies that would be much better prepared than even the best we have now.
