HRC To Obama: Debate Me In NC, "Anytime, Anywhere"
FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Hillary Clinton, with eight retired military leaders at her back, challenged Barack Obama to let North Carolinians have their own debate, offering to meet him "anytime, anywhere."
"I hope we can have a really vigorous discussion about the issues here in North Carolina, and I'm hoping we can have a debate right here," she told a crowd here on her third trip to the state. "I think the voters of North Carolina deserve a debate. I have said I'll debate anytime, anywhere. Look, I'm so sleep deprived, it doesn't matter."
The forum, held at Methodist University just miles from Fort Bragg, was meant to showcase what Clinton sees as her strength on the commander-in-chief test. North Carolina has a significant percentage of veterans. One-by-one, the eight servicemen and women affirmed Clinton's credentials, capped by Hugh Shelton, who served as chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during Bill Clinton's second term.
Shelton noted that only one prior presidential candidate had ever been endorsed by a joint chiefs chairman, and that Clinton now has the endorsement of two.
"We need a president that will return America to its rightful place as the leader of all nations," said Shelton, a North Carolina native. "Senator Hillary Clinton is the only candidate that can return America to its rightful place in world leadership, and we need to make her the next president of the United States."
Clinton spoke of the need for a "commander in chief who is ready on day one to keep our country safe," and who also understands the need to "manage the economy and support the middle class ... so that we can be strong around the world."
She also reinforced her view that America needed to begin a withdrawal from Iraq and reengage in the world. But she became most passionate when speaking about the need to cut through red tape to provide care for uniformed personnel when they are deployed and when they return, both economically and medically.
"You can't just use an ordinary pair of scissors," she said. "You gotta get the full heavy duty pair out, because it seems as though there is a deliberate effort to put as many roadblocks as possible in the way of our young men and women who have returned from their service to get the health care, the compensation and the other assistance to which they are entitled.
Clinton took questions from some of the audience, several of which came from military family members who were having difficulty with health care. One woman also asked Clinton if she could kiss her daughter, who had Tourette's syndrome. Clinton began speaking to the girl when she had an outburst. "Some people have that reaction to me," Clinton said, proceeding to give her a kiss.

We could bomb Iran with nukes, and it wouldn't start World War III. Who's going to come to Iran's defense? China? Russia? Syria? No country in the world will risk war with the U.S. over Iran.

In all seriousness, though most people do not want to obliterate the Iranian people, I doubt anyone would shed any tears if their government were destroyed. The fact that the latter cannot practically done without hurting many innocents is something that stays our hand, but if Iran were to strike Israel, we would certainly strike Iran in response, and there would not be much left of Tehran in such a case, I think.
Obama turned tail and bailed out of the NC debate after Hillary cleaned his clock in PA. There's no way he'll debate her. She should make a speech with a box of Eggo waffles on the podium in front of her.
And if he doesn't debate her in NC, he may have no choice but to debate her in IN because they're calling for a debate there.

She needs to win 32 percent (158/492) of the remaining 492 delegates to win the nomination, which does not seem to be possible.
Super delegates will go with the pledge delegate winner, everyone knows that.
