"Ignite"
John McCain launched a TV ad today in OH and PA in which a narrator says he "will take the best ideas from both parties to spur innovation, invest in people and create jobs." The spot will air in select, targeted markets, according to the campaign.
Ad buzz words ... simpler, fairer taxes; cleaner and cheaper energy; and portable and affordable health care.
ANNCR: As President, John McCain will take the best ideas from both parties to spur innovation, invest in people and create jobs.
Taxes -- simpler, fairer.
Energy -- cleaner, cheaper.
Healthcare -- portable and affordable.
Workers retrained, mortgage debt restructured, education transformed.
Initiatives that will unite us and ignite our economy.
Big ideas for serious problems. John McCain.
JOHN MCCAIN: I'm John McCain and I approve this message.

When does McCain plan to get a real ad team?
I think it is a great ad.
Actually, I agree with jonsocko. This reminds me of the ads I used to make twenty years ago, with the announcer draped in a blanket to muffle outside sounds, and the synthesized sounds. Check the speed of the clips; at least one is really badly-off (McCain seems to LEAP forward to shake hands).
And let's not start on the mealy-mouthed script.
This isn't an age thing, but the style of ad makes it seem that way. How can a candidate with John McCain's sharp sense of humor come up with such bad ads?
