Ms.Clinton-with your talk of health care reform I think the first step is to get rid of ALL Lobbyist. How do you propose to get everyone (Congress)to vote for a health plan by the government? Regarding the proposal for universal healthcare, even people with serious pre-existing conditions can be insured. Is there any cost control of the premiums? If there is no cost control, insurance companies can charge high enough premiums so that high risk people cannot afford it.

I am a 53 yr old female truck driver and I am proud to be a pioneer of an industry where young women can make a good living for their family or help their husband make a living, just as you will be a pioneer in the White House. My concern is this, my husband is a disabled veteran and until the past year we had private health care, now we can't afford iot and we went to the VA and we were scolded for going to the ER for blood pressure meds. We were given a two month supply and promised an appointment with a doctor. to make a long story short no results. I have called and called and called . No results or for the most part no even a person. What are prople to do? He really needs medicine and so do I . We hate to feel that we have all these benefits but trying to do something so seemingly simple is frustrating. can you or will you implement a bill,law or whatever to get vet and their families the care that we need and deserve?

My question is in regards to your health care plan. You mentioned that everyone will have a choice of plans to choose from. This sounds great, but what will the cost differences be? Will the lower income people be left with minimal choices due to affordability? Will they not get the same coverage as those that can afford more? Please let me know. This is a huge issue.

What are your plans to help the veterans? Are there plans to speed up the files for claims? If the Veterans Administrations is so bogged down with paperwork, why do they require me to fill out the same forms multiple times? Maybe, if they reduce the amount of paperwork, they would have more time to process claims. I'm a Vietnam, 100% disabled veteran and it took over 20 years for them to finally agree I was disabled. Is this what our returning vets from Iraq are facing?

I am Diabetic and currently on Cobra insurance which will run out in Jan.2009. My husband is a Veteran and only covered through the Veterans, his job does not offer private insurance. Unless I pay a HUGE amount

As a resident of North Carolina for the past 44 years, I have grown concerned that our state government can't manage our budget, which has led to high gas taxes, high property taxes, food taxes, we pay a total of at least 8.75% tax on purchases that include food. We hear at every turn that you candidates are going to bring change, but yet have I heard of any methods for plans to define those changes. It concerns me that our veterans are having such a hard time making it, especially when returning from war. Upon returning to work I was hurrased constantly about how long I was off and compared to others at work whom had the same surgery. I continued to struggel at work I went to the dr on Dec. 22 2006 complaining about the continued pain, the next day dec. 23 I was fired by the so called bible thumping so called christans. the fact was I needed further sugery. The first DR Michale Dockery screwed up. when the second DR went in the suture's were lose, not tight BAD JOB PREFORMED BY DR HACKORY now I had to be off for a hole year. I aso have back problems and have applied for S.S.D. which states that to be eligible you must be off of work for one year to collect benifits. ssd sent me to there Dr for an evaluation it was to take 1-3 hours when I arived at this Ducks (quacks) office it was discusting I never been such a filthy dirty place. There were 11 other people in the waiting room. It was amazing this duck evaluated 11 people in just 2 hours my evaluation only took 15 minutes and it was to take 1-3 hours I was turned down for S.S.D. I have worked 52 days in the last 2 years I have used up my 401 and sold my colector motor cycle at a great loss to survive. they S.S.D tell me it will take 3 years to get a hearing on this how are us AMERICANS to suvive. I am being forced against my will to have to file bankrupcy I have worked hard all my life and paid in to S.S.D now I need some help and they tell me it will take three years . I have 2 children in school. I haear on your add that the "No Child Left Behind Act" is not working. I agree it is not working. Children have no room to be individuals or think for them self. all they do is memorize "stuff" for a test, and if they don"t "make the grade" they can be held back in that grade. that is not right My oldest daughter is a straight A student throughout the year however she panics when the EOG comes around and she does fine but she worries that she will not pass. the added stress is unreal. I agree that they need to be assessed to see if they know what they need to but this is not the way. It is my understanding this is how we "measure" to see if our teachers are doing what they need to. HA! not once have I seen a teacher being tested in this manner. this is so discouraging to children and it starts at a very ealy age teaching them that if they dont make the grade they do no measure up with others their age.

Now, I am a senior citizen (68) and would like to have your solution to the help we receive from the Medicare program. Some, such as myself have presceiptions that run approximately 1-1/2 time MORE than we receive from the government on a monthly basis. The drug plan does not cover the ones that REALLY need the help, and Medicaid is not an option for drug help ( only Medicare benefit payment) What can WE do as a country to help the seniors have a better quality of life?

I guess my concern is the economy. I don't think any true American objects to paying there fair share of taxes. What we really object is the wasteful spending being done by our so called representatives. We have not given our children and grandchildren the security for there future. I know that there are alot of people on the verge of losing their homes. I also know that millions of americans have huge credit card debit. I feel that this debt is partly the blame for people losing their homes. High interest rates on credit cards is not helping anyone. In fact, 21 percent and higher was at one time considered illegal and is now common place. People with large debit and these high rates are hook to this debt for life with no hope of ever getting out from under it. Every bank and every store you walk into pushes their own version of credit card because for them, this is free money especially when they hook you for life. This in my opinon is just wrong, and something must be done.What if anything, will your adminstration do about this legal loan sharking? I feel this country is just begining to feel the effects of this problem and I think the country will be seeing more problems from this in the future. I think that our entire economy will be affected by this in time.

We need to have new law that states you are not an american citzen just because you were born in the USA when your parents are from another country and they are not an american citizen. I know that this country was founded on immigration,and I believe that if anybody from another country is looking to better themselves thay should have that opportunity. However, ENGLISH was the chosen language when our country was established. But the Mexican people come here and most older adults don't even bother to learn English and are given jobs.If the American people went to Mexico and couldn't speak spanish how many job would they get? What would their government give them. Would they teach English in their schools? My husband and I are in the process of adopting our first child, Alex, from Guatemala. After a year of researching different adoption options, in February 2007 we decided to adopt Internationally. Recently there has been political turmoil within Guatemala jeopardizing the adoption. We understand that Guatemala wants to rid corruption from the adoption process. However, the children of Guatemala (our son) suffer while the politics are being played. The organization that the US supports financially , UNICEF, has done very little to support the International adoption process. UNICEF is adovocating to halt all adoptions in Guatemala jeopardizing the adoptions that are "in process", approx. 3,000 cases. Currently, President Bush has taken no stance on this issue. My husband and I would like to know how you as the president would support the thousands of US citizens in limbo...deseparately awaiting to bring their children home?

I love what President Clinton did for our country. He got us out of DEBT. My school is about 700 or so students. I am only a teacher assistant, if you make classrooms smaller my job will go. I am so close to retirement about four years. We got a good raise this year but it put me into a higher income braket and I had less bring home pay, I am a single parent (my boys are grown) but it is hard sometimes to make ends meet.I have nothing bad to say about you or your husband I think you both or great people.
