New Hillary Clinton spot up tonight in NC and IN hits Barack Obama for being unwilling to suspend the gas tax this summer.

It's a shameless pander that jeopardizes the ability to repair our crumbling infrastructure (witness Minneapolis bridge disaster). Further it would only provide relief if we could repeal it forever. Eventually the prices will go up. It's the law of supply and demand. Like it or not high gas prices are the way of the future whether we repeal the gas tax or not. It's the price we pay for competing with billions of consumers in India and China for the same pool of oil.
I'm personally pleased that Obama has the integrity to oppose a bad policy even when it would be easy to tell voters that it will fix all their problems.
