ME Super D For Obama
Rep. Tom Allen, a Super D and ME Senate candidate, today pleged his support to Barack Obama, according to the senator's campaign. Allen said he believes Obama and Hillary Clinton are “supremely qualified to be president,” but he called for an end to the Dems' primary battle.
“I have been friends for a very long time with former President Clinton and Senator Clinton," he said in a statement released by Obama's campaign. "I respect their service to our nation. Hillary Clinton has run a vigorous campaign and has attracted a passionate following in Maine and around the country. She loves this country and is a true leader. For her service, I am grateful. Most of the primary voters across the nation have now spoken. It is time to bring a graceful end to the primary campaign. We now need to unify the Democratic Party and focus on electing Senator Obama and a working majority in the United States Senate. That is how we can change the direction of the country."

A wise man said, "Reality bites."
The reality is Hillary! is not going to make it. That's tough for me, but I have geared myself up to support Obama. He's not all I want, by any means, but I do think as the election progresses he will show more sensitivity to gay and transgender issues, and he is better than a Bush third term.
I think Obama has run a sensational compaign after all he has had to run against Hillary, Bill, McCain, Rush Lambaug, Lou Dobs, Pat Buchanan,Rev. Wright, MSNBC, CNN, Fox and all the women on these shows, and he is still standing, and you all have not stopped yet. This must be the work of GOD.
I love Hilliary but I don't think everyone is looking at the FULL picture. She maybe good for the USA. But, the Middle East will never respect her. I'm a female. We are ready to have a female president. But, the middle east isn't. I don't think she can bring us together. As far as female issues, there's not enough to out way the unemployment, loosing our jobs to foreign countries
