Clinton Backer Launches Veep Petition Drive
NEW YORK - Lanny Davis is announcing this evening a petition drive to make Hillary Clinton the Democratic vice presidential nominee.
Davis, holding court outside the Baruch College gym Tuesday night, said he was starting the petition drive without the coordination of the Clinton campaign, and without their endorsement. He said a web site would launch at midnight at www.womenforfairpolitics.com "Obama can win without her, but he can't lose with her," Davis said, noting Clinton would help the Democratic party win women and Hispanic voters, in particular.
Davis served as special counsel during the Clinton administration.

You make a mockery of “true” American People.
You cause embarrassment to “all” American’s regardless of their party affiliation.
The day has ARRIVED, you lost. Obama won. Let it go. The Clinton days are over.
For many Americans, we are glad to see them go. President Clinton was an embarrassment to the morals we teach our children. You both were involved in Whitewater. People died because of Whitewater. You two were not innocent. Your time has come and gone. Fade away…
But for America’s sake, do so graciously…
You, Mrs. Clinton owe Presidential candidate, Mr. Obama a HUGE, HUGE, apology for your actions and your terrible speech tonight, June 3, 2008. You were; awful, less than gracious; you certainly did not act like a woman; or present yourself as the “best candidate to run our country,” as you are always saying.
Mr. Obama gave many heartfelt credits to you, stated that you set a new precedence for women and a number of other wonderful qualities attributed to you – even after you have been so nasty throughout this campaign.
Had you of won the nomination – I and many of my friends agreed we would HAVE voted for John McCain just to keep you out of the White House.
Because Mrs. Clinton, you have lost your way somewhere between 8 years of President Clinton, Senator Clinton, and this year’s Election. You do not represent “all” women, children, the poor as you profess, you represent, Hillary Clinton Period. You could actually care less about the rest.
I am a woman and I would not vote for you and will never vote for you. Your legacy is dead – let it lie.
But at least woman up and give Mr. Obama the speech he deserves and you stop whining… like a typical woman. Because you shamed the American people tonight when Obama took the nomination.
