A snippet:

"McCain suffers from a pronounced "enthusiasm gap," especially among the conservatives who usually give Republican candidates a reliable base of support. Among voters who describe themselves as conservative, only 58% say they will vote for McCain; 15% say they will vote for Obama, 14% say they will vote for someone else, and 13% say they are undecided.

"By contrast, 79% of voters who describe themselves as liberal say they plan to vote for Obama."

The things that interesting despite McCain shot comings Obama still isn't polling over 50% And this holds over almost all polls. I think its very likely whatever the electoral College Count Obama or McCain are unlikely to pulling in more than 52% of the vote. This should also be a sign of hope for McCain since Obama has shown no ability to push over that 50% mark

I think we're far more likely to see a lopsided EC/Pop. vote ratio this year. Obama will have a lot of black support in the south that won't turn the state blue, and he's likely to run up the score in states like IL, CA, NY, NJ, MA, CT, and WA. We'll see soon enough I guess.
