Clinton Releases Delegates

DENVER, CO – During a crowded and rowdy rally of her elected convention delegates this afternoon, Sen. Hillary Clinton released her delegates to cast their ballots as they choose, adding that she signed a ballot for Barack Obama this morning.

But she also advised her supporters: "I am not telling you what to do."

Calling the upcoming roll call vote on the convention floor this afternoon "traditional," she encouraged her delegates to "do what you feel in your heart is right."

Attendees cried "No! No!" and offered up a mix of cheers and moans when she announced that her vote had been cast for her former rival.

Clinton said that efforts to reconcile the once-bitterly divided factions of the Democratic Party "are off to a good start" in Denver and that she expected Democrats to leave the convention united despite having arrived "by different paths."

But, she added, "You are to be given the respect and recognition you have earned as delegates for the Democratic Party."

The thank-you gathering took place in a convention center ballroom, where thousands of loud supporters stood shoulder to shoulder. Much of the senator's address was drowned out by shouts of support from the emotional crowd.

Hello
We want Hillary Clinton for President. What can we do when our votes are not counting?????

Obama supporters keep chanting the mantra that Barack Obama
is the candidate who can unite our country ... but, Obama couldn't
even unite his own party ... even after winning the nomination. And,
in reality, McCain has the history of working across the isle in congress.
Obama has brainwashed his followers into operatIing on 'belief', rather
than reason ... just as he learned in Jeremiah Wright's church ... the power of BLIND faith.
Even his campaign solgan is based on belief, not common sense, logic,
or reason. Obama's even got his followers publicly denouncing the importance
of experience ... as if that's the reason Bush performed poorly ... when the
real reason Obama and his followers denounce experience is because
Obama doesn't have any.
Keep America Strong ... Elect Senator John McCain in November !!

In the preamble to her speech, she said, "I come here as a proud mother, a proud daughter, a proud Senator and a proud Democrat. What was missing? Proud Wife. I wonder how long it will be before she "releases" Bill?

It's time to pull together and realize that we either fight together or we all hang separately. Remember even the republicans analysts gave Bill Clinton high marks for his speech. The accusations against the Bush administration were right on the money. We have been bullied and terrified in an effort by a group that to put it kindly - was and is inept.

Both candidates would do a better job than Bush if given the chance (so could I and a lot of others). But only the democratic candidate will have the resources to be successful. Its easy for people to get confused and say it doesn't matter who one votes for because both will do a better job.

That notion is framed incorrectly - think of the country as being a sick patient that has been under the care of a witch doctor for 8 years - the patient hasn't died yet. He is sick but was really healthy before the witch doctor took over -now the patient has a chance to change doctors and get better. Who would you want administering his care - the old guy who's really nice but hasn't kept up with medical advances or the young guy who has and might know what he's doing. I'd go with the young guy. With some experience he can do the job. He lacks experience but has the knowledge. The old guy has experience but lacks knowledge.

Its easier to gain experience than knowledge. Now I'd rather have the master surgeon that has both knowledge and experience or his wife a master-apprentice who has knowledge and some experience but I don't have that choice - my choices are just the young guy or the old guy. Let's quite crying over spilt milk America. And I say this as a Hillary supporter.
