Has ovaries -- check! I was willing to vote for Hillary not because she was a woman, but because she was clearly capable of performing the job. Palin will have to go a long way to prove that she's not just the token woman on the ticket. So far, this is nothing more than insulting.

Way too obvious, basically, McCain did the same thing that Barrack did, pick someone that would address his weaknesses in his own party. He's Old, She's Young, He's too Moderate, She's ultra-Conservative, and so on. This is merely a ploy to get the Hillary women that were obsessed with having a female president at all costs. Here's the crazy thing, she is under investigation for what the guy before me just said, she's almost the evilent of the anti-hillary, pro-life, offshore drilling, anti-environment, against control, etc. It's would be the equvilent if McCain were to ask Alan Keys to be his running mate, try to find the most conservative Minority out there.

wishing, I am from AK so I do have some knowledge about her. I do not feel she is prepared nor would be the best choice to run the country if something happened to McCain. She has been Gov for close to 2 years and prior to that was mayor of a small town in AK. Not much experience for such an important position, and to me, its not fair to the people of the U.S. nor their security. There were many better qualified candidates than her so the big question is why, was it simply to get women voters? If so, McCain is all about politics not whats best for this country.

From above, lots of people have Downs S. and function fairly well. Her ability to have the time to care for her children AND be the VP can't be questioned unless more is known about her child and her character.
