Trippi Worried About Invesco Speech
![]()
Joe Trippi hints at Dem concerns about the scope of Obama's Invesco Field speech:
"I'm a little bit worried about tonight's event. I'm worried that it's too big. It's hard to be intimate and connect with the TV audience in that atmosphere and bring it down to earth. It's the opposite of him interacting with his kids."
On Call Aside: Invesco is the whole show. The speech could highlight the depth and enthusiasm of the movement around Obama's campaign or it could fuel Republican efforts to craft Obama as celebrity and his fans as a cult of personality. There's much riding on tonight's event. Invesco was a gamble.

Sorry, but this sounds like just another manufactured potential crisis. First it was the PUMAs, then Hilliary's speech, then Bill's speech. I'm watching the convention on C-SPAN because the blathering of mainstream pundits has surpassed lunacy.
Others — including National Journal and online bloggers — need to lighten up and get some perspective.
Suggest you go take Stella for a long walk.
Have the pundits been right about anything?
Today, I witness the most incredible moment in my lifetime thus far. I am so proud and honor to be an American. I am living in a country so great. When Barack said that change comes to Washington it made my heart heal. No words could travel far enough to express my gratitude. I will work and continue to work to do my part in helping this country strive to be One Nation forever.
I live in Little Rock, Arkansas; I will work hard in my community, church, homeland nation to make my son and other children are the best that we know how to be. I pray that we all come, live, and work together to make our lives the best that we can and live in peace in harmony.
As Barack said, "We may not agree but we should respect each other and strive for that common purpose." The American Promise
I know that it was meant for us to love one another and form relationships. We are to be______________________to all mankind. You feel in the blank to what word is important to you in making America.
Come on America let's get out and VOTE Obama into office to be the next President of the United States. Do voter registration, make phone calls, donate, take neighbors, friends, family and the elderly to the polls, participate in community activities, email, text message, blog, call and write the media----just do what you can and know how. Lastly, just ask, "Where can I help and how?" I love you all and wish America the best in our 2008 Democratic Election of the United States of America.
God Bless Us All and Keep Us Safe, In Jesus Name Amen
Believe me, he connected. I watched with my teenaged daughter. We are both intelligent, white Americans. Obama is the best candidate to lead this country. As the richest country in the world, with the least medical care for middle class citizens in the industrialized world, the most teenage pregnancies in the industrialized world, a Republican government that condones torture and denied the existence of global warming for the best of 8 years, we are yearning for change. Obama is critical to the future success of our country, both domestically and internationally.

Trippi has nothing to worry about, unless he is a Republican.
