We may be in Denver, but Hollywood wasn't very far away this week, with the likes of Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron and Ann Hathaway in town for the convo. And because we're not beneath eavesdropping and/or stalking, we've compiled a list of the Hotline's celebrity sightings for the week:

- Larry David's ex-wife/global warming activist Laurie David was spotted riding the escalator at Denver Int'l Airport on 8/23, wearing a print dress.

- We managed to intercept R&B artist John Legend during a sound check at the Pepsi Center on 8/25, practicing his new song, "If You're Out There," for the convo's opening night.

- Actress Aisha Tyler kept the Hotline company at the VIP table at Planned Parenthood's "Sex, Politics and Cocktails Late Night Dance Party" on 8/25.

- Actress Rosario Dawson made an appearance at National Journal's VIP lounge on 8/25, wearing a black shirt dress and promoting the Voto Latino organization.

- The next day, Dawson was spotted going through the metal detectors at the Pepsi Center entrance, wearing patent leather tan heels that were approximately 4.5 inches tall.

- Among the guests at the 8/26 "Huffington Post" new media luncheon were hair stylist extraordinaire Paul Mitchell and his wife, who, indeed, had perfectly coiffed hair.

- Also seen at the "Huffington Post" forum were "SNL" alum Fred Armisen and "Black-Eyed Peas" member will.i.am, who was decked out in a tweed jacket, black pants, a scarf and a hat -- despite the 92 degree weather.

- Ashley Judd was among the guests at Politico/Glover Park Group's party on 8/26, as was Taco Bell heir Rob McKay.

- William Kennedy Smith was spotted 8/26 entering the perimeter of the Pepsi Center, wearing sunglasses.

- Susan Sarandon was spotted at the Human Rights Campaign concert at the Fillmore Auditorium on 8/26, but she left after Rufus Wainwright's set. She was also bombarded by a swarm of reporters 8/27 in the Pepsi Center as she took a seat on the stairs to watch former President Clinton and Joe Biden address the convention.

- Fran Drescher showed up at the CNN Grill on 8/27, and had her photo taken with a fan even though she was running "really late."

- MTV News anchor Sway, who was wearing his signature huge hat over his dreads, was spotted walking through the Pepsi Center metal detectors on 8/27.

- Spike Lee was spotted doing interviews on 8/27 near the Pepsi Center's radio row.

- Comedian/"Tonight Show" correspondent Mo Rocca was doing some sort of stand up outside of the Pepsi Center on 8/27.

- Obama Girl was spotted wearing very, very, very short shorts outside the Pepsi Center on 8/27. Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx was on the Pepsi Center floor the same night.

- "Actor" Kal Penn -- a.k.a. Kumar -- was wearing a neon vest during the 8/27 roll call, apparently helping with the ushering of delegates.

- Among those spotted at the Creative Coalition-sponsored Black-Eyed Peas concert at the Fillmore on 8/27: Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, sans-baby; an "extremely hot" Josh Lucas; Kerry Washington; Tim Daly of "Wings" fame; and writer/producer Lawrence O'Donnell.

- Shortly after bumping into ex-VA Gov. Mark Warner (D) on the elevator at Invesco Field on 8/28, we spotted a taller-than-expected Matthew Modine packing into a second floor elevator. Minutes later, Kal Penn boarded a different elevator.

- After Obama's acceptance speech, comedian Sarah Silverman and actor Bradley Cooper were seen wading through the crowds outside of Invesco Field together.

And now, on to Minneapolis/St. Paul. Kid Rock, we'll be looking for you.
