Palin just doesn't have a clue. The depth of her lack of knowledge was very clear during her interview with Katie Couric. We cannot put Mc Cain/Palin in office, She would be a heartbeat away from the Presidency, the highest office in the land, and that would be a disaster. Mc Cain chose her to lure Hillary's supporters. BIG MISTAKE!! Women, in fact, all Americans, are smarter than Mc Cain gives us credit for. The deregulation touted by Bush/Mc Cain have been direct causes of the debacle on Wall Street. No regulation means bis problems. Oops, first Mc Cain said he was for deregulation - Now he is for regulation. Does he even know what the words mean???? We need smart people in the White House - not the lies of these two.
Even now, Mc Cain 's Aide has been linked to Freddie Mac! That is just one example of the kind of people he surrounds himself with. Karl Rove??? On the other hand, Obama surrounds himself with smart people like Warren Buffet and Robert Rubin. Use your brains. We are not better off than we were 8 years ago and we cannot afford 4 more years of the same ineptitude. GO OBAMA/BIDEN.

This is the worst, the absolute worst choice for a VP in my 50 year old lifetime. Sarah can barely string string 2 sentences together. You hard core Republicans, you netter think long and hard before you pull that lever- watch this video and tell me you don't get heebie jeebies.

Are you people completely stupid? Experience? Palin has more experience than Osama Obama aka Curious George. You whining naive liberals are pathetic. The liberal media and the Democrat party are in a panic because they know Palin has sealed the deal for McCain. You liberals know it and you're afraid. You picked an idiot for a candidate. McCain surrounds himself with shady characters?? Are you kidding? Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Reznik. Need I go on? Please. You liberals are hipocrates. Don't throw stones when you're standing in a house of glass.

Racist much^^^^

OMG the liberal media made Palin look like a moron. They totally edited this interview. It's a conspiracy. The liberal media is afraid. They're so scared.

JB you sound like an idiot. The fact is, this interview illustrates just how inexperienced Palin is. If she can't handle Couric, how is she going to handle international conferences, presidential addresses (if she were to assume the President's office), etc.?

Not once in your ad hominem post did you acknowledge the whole point of this page: the interview. You response doesn't come close to supporting Palin. You haven't tried to at all to bolster her performance in this interview. Instead, you chose what many Republicans do, when confronted with the actual state of things, blame somebody else, point fingers, shout out this is all a conspiracy, etc. And finally you conclude your little inane diatribe with a maxim that doesn't quite mesh with the rest of your post. well done.

Incidentally, Hippocrates was pretty liberal. He was arguably the founding father of medicine--rejecting the conservative view that it was some supernatural or divine force that caused illness. No problem with that.

Of course, you probably meant to call us "hypocrites." Then again, education is for "elitists" who sit around all day in their ivory towers.

I think if you listen to this clip, it is a beautiful thought...well expressed. We obviously did not pass the bill today and listen to it again and you will see it is a fine statement based on where we are at today and knowing she said this 6 days ago... Again this bailout package is a very tough call because most dont want government hands in private enterprise but the amount of the bad mortgages is so large that our economy is at risk. And the person who said that McCains name is somewhere with Freddie....give me a break. Freddy and Fannie are so much more in bed with Obama than any other senator/house rep except for Chris Dodd. Please everybody just really think about the situation, really think about what is at stake and if you could see the decisions that are at hand you would understand the immensity and words are really sticky because you cannot say something that will later be wrong and Palin, although not very eloquent, was on the money with her statement.

WHAT?? this statement is utterly and total falsehood - "The deregulation touted by Bush/Mc Cain have been direct causes of the debacle on Wall Street. " can you substantiate this at all. Government set up a place for all bad money to go to and that was Fannie/Freddy. Basically some sort of legislature wanted all people to own homes so banks followed the regulations given to them knowing that they could always sell off bad mortgages to Fannie/Freddie. This debacle on WallStreet has many causes but deregulation nor Bush/McCain is not any of them. The person who said this just wants to put blame on someone who they wont be voting for this election. I hope the rest of you out there can read through the lines and do actual research and please get the truth not regurgitations of liberal media and/or coworkers/parents/college professors.

Interesting how Jim states that deregulation isn't the cause of the problem without stating a single thing that is a cause. I don't think using the words "many causes" really explains what the causes are....much less why deregulation of markets isn't a contributor.

anyone who thinks palin is qualified to be anything other than mayor of a town of 7,500, and many up in alaska think she isn't even qualified for that, is dumb. i dont know what else needs to be said.
