Diageo/Hotline Tracking Poll: Come Fly With Me
For the second consecutive day, Barack Obama and Joe Biden lead John McCain and Sarah Palin in the Diageo/Hotline tracking poll. The Dem ticket is up 44-43%; Obama/Biden had been up 45-43% in yesterday's release.
The Dems now lead by 6% among women, down from their 9% margin yesterday. McCain/Palin, meanwhile, leads men by 4% -- identical to their lead on 9/13.
The GOP ticket's edge among Republicans also held constant; McCain/Palin again hold a 86-7% advantage. Obama/Biden leads among Dems 84-7%, a slight drop from their 85-7% lead on 9/13. Among Inds, McCain/Palin's lead fell from 16% in yesterday's release to 10% today.
Today's survey, conducted 9/12-14 by FD, surveyed 906 RVs and has a margin of error of +/- 3.3%. Party ID breakdown for the sample is 41%D, 36%R, 19%I.

Come fly with me, or rather 'come back home' as in Indies rejecting McCain's lies and coming back home to the Obama camp. B/c Barack is the only candidate who offers REAL Change.
As before, the net effect of the last two weeks is this: we are back to a 50-50 nation. The enthusiasm gap among Republicans seems to be diminishing (though only time will tell if they will actually work for McCain/Palin, just turn out to vote, or both).
So the big question is whether, and if so, when, there will be a break in the tracking poll numbers.
Doesn't appear to be a break here: some women left Obama/Biden, but some Inds shifted toward Obama/Biden (according to your figures), but the overall numbers didn't really change. The actual numbers aren't big enough to indicate much, unless your cross-tabs show more.
Nothing happening here, folks, move along. Move along.
Um, yeah. You guys lost all credibility years ago when you put Chuck Todd in charge who is just a puppet for his Dem consultant wife.
What the heck is Diageo anyway?

IT'S A PHONE IN POLL....
A recent Gallup poll showed McCain ahead of Obama in a survey of likely voters. We later read that their sample increased the number of Republicans surveyed. If true, there may be scientifically sound reasons. I’m a little skeptical. There is mounting evidence of election tampering in America and it begins with pre-election polling.
Here are some steps you would have to take to quietly steal an election:
1. Create the impression that the election is very close. This is key to fooling the public. The closer the race seems before the election, the less suspicious any tampering might seem afterwards.
2. Make every effort to suppress opposition voting. For Republicans, this means suppressing minority voting since they are mostly Democrats and easy to spot. They tend to clustered in urban districts, often have minority sounding names and, in some states, they may have to indicate their minority status on voter registration forms. Minority targeting is well underway already. Some mainstream newspapers have begun reporting about it. If you haven’t heard much about it, try going on Google and type the word “caging.”
3. Next, identify those key voting precincts within "swing" states where the vote count must be altered. Vote tampering has become highly scientific; a vast coordination of narrowly targeted operations. It may be facilitated by electronic voting machines and partisan Secretaries’ of State. For lots of further information about this, try Blackboxvoting.com.
4. You must also control exit polls. This is done by creating sampling bias, such as under representing minorities. If exit polls don’t agree with tampered vote counts, simply attack the accuracy of exit polls. Better yet, arrange to eliminate exit poll results altogether, as happened in 2002, right under our noses.
5. Finally, you have to either suppress recounts or destroy evidence of vote fraud before a recount, as happened in parts of Ohio in 2004. Don’t believe me? Check the Net for former Ohio officials inprisoned for that fiasco!
