At some point people are going to realize that John McCain simply does not tell the truth. He is going to get caught one time too many and then people are going to stop believing him entirely.

Here's the bottom line:

Barack Obama is a Democrat with specific plans and deep knowledge of the issues.

John McCain is a career Republican employing Karl Rove distraction tactics.

The choice is clear.

Talk about lying. Obama has been saying for months that "I will pay teachers more". Now, since teacher pay is the provence of local school boards, it begs three questions:
1. Does he plan to Federalize local schools?
2. Did he get through Harvard Law without knowing the relationship of schools to local school boards?
3. Is he lying to get elected?

He said today, he thought teacher pay should be handled "teacher to teacher" without the interference of local school boards. As someone who has been very involved in local school issues, I can tell you that this is constitutionally impossible, even though his teacher union supporters would like to have it that way. Meanwhile, his kids are in private schools, not the failing Chicago schools he claims he did so much to help.

Reward Teachers: Obama will promote new and innovative ways to increase teacher pay that are developed with teachers, not imposed on them. Districts will be able to design programs that reward accomplished educators who serve as a mentor to new teachers with a salary increase. Districts can reward teachers who work in underserved places like rural areas and inner cities. And if teachers consistently excel in the classroom, that work can be valued and rewarded as well.

A man like you with such a blisteringly high IQ should be able to type "Barack Obama Education" into a search engine.
