PALIN: Every American student needs to come through this area so that, especially this younger generation of Americans is, to be in a position of never forgetting what happened here and never repeating, never allowing a repeat of what happened here. I wish every American would come through here. I wish every world leader would come through here, and understand what it is that took place here and more importantly how America came together and united to commit to never allowing this to happen again. And just to hear and from and see these good New Yorkers who are rebuilding not just this are but helping to rebuild america has been very, very inspiring and encouraging. These are the good americans who are committed to peace and security and its been an absolute honor getting to meet these folks today.
CNN: On the topic of never letting this happen again, do you agree with the way the Bush administration has handled the war on terrorism, is there anything you would do differently?
A: I agree with the Bush administration that we take the fight to them. We never again let them come onto our soil and try to destroy not only our democracy, but communities like the community of New York. Never again. So yes, I do agree with taking the fight to the terrorists and stopping them over there.
POLITICO: Do you think our presence in iraq and afghan and our continued presence there is inflaming islamic extremists?
A: I think our presence in iraq and afghanistan will lead to further security of our nation, again, because the mission is to take the fight over there. do not let them come over here and attempt again what they accomplished here, and that was some destruction. terrible destruction on that day. but since september 11, americans uniting and rebuilding and committing to never letting that happen again.
POLITICO: Do you support the reelection bids of embattled Alaska Republicans, Rep. Don Young and Sen. Ted Stevens?
A: Ted Stevens trial started a couple days ago. We'll see where that goes.

The 9/11 bits are Giulianiesque. Rehearsed bits, as is the deference to McCain on the economy. This isn't indicative of anything other than she's learned a line or two. I rather assume she can at least do that.
The Ted Stevens answer is one where she has some personal experience and she dodged it completely.
If these four questions are any indication, no wonder McCain was trying to bump the VP debate to, oh, sometime mid-November or so.

Has anyone else noticed the following pattern in Sarita's response to questions from the media?
That is, she'll give an answer, the media will feel that their question wasn't answered and ask for clarification, and she repeats the original answer word...for...word.
The phrase "mindless drone" comes to mind.
Suddenly I feel like she might have gone through the "Clockwork Orange" treatment to drill the campaign's canned answers into her. Note how she gave the same answer over and over even if the question wasn't pertinent. There is beauty is such simpleness, unfortunately that's only the case when such repetition comes from children.
If you want Sarah Palin one hearbeat away from the Presidency, you must not want America to thrive. She is principled and she is strong, but she is shallow. Meanwhile, she was so proud of not blinking and now that we're on the verge of a major economic breakdown, McCain wants to blink. Impeding the electoral process (especially when he doesn't exactly hold the key to solving this mess) is not putting country first, it is grandstanding.
You can love Sarah Palin all you want, but if she can't handle speaking openly with reporters, she doesn't have the skill to battle with national lawmakers.

So much ignorance to fight, so little time. Palin has never "fought Stevens". As for her fighting corruption in Alaska, that's nonsense also. The FBI indicted corrupt state legislators long before she became governor. The only Republican she's done battle with was Randy Ruedrich. The "bridge to nowhere" became the "road to nowhere", which was recently completed at a cost of $26 million. It starts at the Ketchikan airport and ends where the bridge was going to be built, at a cost of $8 million per mile - for a dirt road. Palin is a lightweight opportunist who will do anything to further her agenda. Her loyalties lie with her own ambition, as people who thought she was a friend have found out to their detriment. How do I know all this? I live in Alaska and I do my research before posting to a message board.
McCain unilaterally suspending his campaign is an unamerican, undemocratic, cowardly thing to do.
Democratic societies do not flinch in the face of adversity and to call off the electoral process is absolutely the wrong action and sends a terrible message to the world. Our democracy has survived much worse and this rash decision is just one more piece of evidence that John McCain does not have the temperment to be the leader of the free world.

When she said, "fixin", talkin" and "I'll find ya some and bring um to ya" I almost fell over. Imagine her having tea with the Queen saying, "I wish I had known you loved.....so much. I'lll find ya some and bring um to ya when we visit next." Or maybe sitting with Putin trying to negotiate something and saying, "I think you will agree we're talkin' about security. I presume the "here" the poster is reffering to is the current mess we have with the financial crisis on top of the terrible mess we have made by trying to export our will on others, and our continuing addiction to oil. From the many video clips I've seen on You Tube, my impression of Barack Obama is that he is an idiot savant. He easily can parrot what he sees on the teleprompter, but completely loses it when he has to think for himself. A perfect example was the interview with George Stephanopolous, when he said "his Muslim faith", and George had to prompt him to correct himself. The man needs a serious history and geography lesson. Seems like he never had a class in American History. The man clearly is unfit for the presidency. I believe he was fast-tracked on easy street in his home state. We certainly can't risk an affirmative action president in these times. It is sad that so many people are mesmerized by an empty suit.

Actualy, in order for diplomacy to work both sides must come to the table. In the case of radical Islam it isn't an option. Example
