As a woman and as an American, I thought she was a complete embarassment. I mean, the woman nauseates me, but I actually felt sorry for her until I realized the media was going to give her almost a complete pass.

Does she not realize that if Hilary was chosen as Sen. Obama's running mate, she would have never had that interview? The McCain campaign would have never picked Palin, if there was not an opportunity to pick up some Clinton supporters. It is laughable to hear the talking heads in the Republican party say that this was a choise to strengthen their ticket. She was a choise to desperatly grab at a specific demographic, nothing more. She looks like middle america, she is something different from the republican party, and it is no wonder that she has got the media coverage that she has, but when it comes down to it, she is Charelton Heston and Jerry Falwell in a pair of horned rimmed glasses. Your Country has had enough of the "God's will with a big gun" policies both foreign and domestic. As a Canadian, I ask that the American people do themselves and the rest of the world a favour and elect Sen. Obama.

What is wrong with you people? What is wrong with CNN when you proclaim this woman(Palin)as some sort of blessing to the world? John McCain has done a great disservice to our country. In order to win the presidency, he (at his age) has selected this "not qualified" woman to step in should anything happen to him. Our country deserves so much better, and I think that ever decent Republican that loves this country too, should rebel and vote for Obama. Each one of them that gets up and raves about her greatness is lieing because they know nothing about her. I once had respect for Huckabee, Thompson, and Guliante (don't know how to spell)but the lies are too much.

I respect Hillary and think that she would have made a good president or vice president, but the decision made was Obama's choice. And too, the White House could have become a little crowded with 2 administrations. This is his time and his presidency, and at least it shows that he does know how to pick someone who is capable to govern this country if needed.

Obama couldn't just "pick" Hillary. No one gets picked without first going through what is called a "Vetting" process. That is essentially a digging up of any dirt, discrepancies, etc. in the potential candidate's background (including their spouse). The Clinton's did not want to participate in that process.

As an interested European I am amazed at the circus that is being played out in so-called American elections. Palin is not running for President, McCain is. And if the Republicans had thought for one minute that he might drop dead, he wouldn't be their nominee. Obama needs a no. 2 for experience, McCain has a no. 2 who will quickly learn what she has to. I'd prefer a no. 2 that has to make up on some experience (although she already has more than Obama), than a no. 1 who has to rely on his no. 2 to make the right decisions for him.

Biden will come through. I have faith in him. But, doesn't seem strange to all of you out there that if the Republican Vice-Presidential candidate is as commanding, experienced, and 'tuff'as they say, why has she been tucked away and only allowed restricted access to the media? Obama has been on the hotseat since his keynote address over four years ago! He through his hat in the ring and has withstood incredible attacks, and managed a nomination winning campaign! Palin was pulled out of a hat, expressed no interest in public office, and then is sealed behind a Republican wall lest she be attacked unfairly by the liberal press.
