If this trooper stunned a 10 year old kid he should have been fired. No matter if he turned the voltage down or not, it is a sign of lack of good judgment. If the head of the State Police didn't fire him when he heard about it, he should have been fired. Stun guns are not toys given to police officers for their personal enjoyment. He admitted drinking on the job. Whether it is one beer or a dozen, people throughout the US are fired for more minor offenses everyday. Why should he be any different? Not firing him for either offense is bad management and a bad example of leadership.

Why would they need to subpoena? Because it is her husband. He will not step forward if it his testimony can hurt his wife's chances.

The choice of Sarah Palin has continued to cause most of us to 'scratch our heads' and wonder 'what are they thinking?' And then there is the fact that she is not accessible to the national press - that everyone has to handle her with kid gloves, and only a few have the courage to speak up. That this woman, who may be intelligent, attractive and plays real well to the camera, is an extremist. There are many good Americans who are not Christian, yet the separation between Church and State is becoming increasingly vague.

For you Liberals God isn't the same yesterday, today or tomorrow. With you He changes the way you want him to change. The Liberal really understands the changes taking around him, and conforms to those changes. You take the Bible out of school, which is the clearest explanation of who God is. I don't see how anyone who lives in ordinary America can vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin with the same economic policy as George Bush and the same corporate lobbyist advisers, and the same starkly dangerous lack of any coherent foreign policy. If you recall may of our founding fathers believed in God. I'm sure you have read the U.S. Constitution and perhaps many other books written by these men and you would gather from it that these men understood what was at stake here. They held on to certain moral values, which sad to say are hard to find today.

If you could stand back and look at both sides and see what both are saying, which is just the same promises, fix the economy, health care, balance the budget, etc. etc. . You can not adjust the amps and/or voltage of an x 26 tazer you shoot someone with it they get 50,000 volts bottom line. You can turn it off after you shoot so that they don't get the full 5 seconds. But this was not the case. Gross misuse of Department equipment and child abuse at minimum. If someone had threatened to put a bullet in my fathers @#%!&*# head, pressuring someone to investigate the matter, would not be my only recourse. This was mild by comparision.
