Bachmann: Obama Has "Anti-American Views"
Maybe after this interview Rep. Michelle Bachmann will spend some time with Carly Fiorina in the political hinterlands. Nothing like a member of Congress asserting that lawmakers -- read Barack Obama -- should be investigated for un-American activity.
"I'm very concerned that he may have anti-American views," Bachmann said of Obama. "That's what the American people are concerned about."
More: "The news media should do a penetrating expose and take a look -- I wish they would -- I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out: Are they pro America or anti America? I think people would love to see an expose like that."
So what would Bachmann suggest Congress call the panel conducting an examination of such anti-American behavior?
How about: House Un-American Activities Committee, The Sequel.

Literally, the most frightening thing I've EVER seen in my entire lifetime! Are we witnessing a new era of McCarthyism? She actually referred to liberals as "anti-American" and called for an investigation of Congress to search for and root out anti-American elected officials.
Add this to Sarah Palin's incendiary comments that Obama "pals around with terrorists" and the McCain Campaign's new robo calls claiming that Obama "worked closely" with a terrorist whose radical group "killed Americans" and you have a recipe for the next great American witch hunt and a call to violence against Obama and his fellow Democrats.
This is very dangerous rhetoric coming out of the Republican Party!!! Every American should study McCarthyism and read the Crucilble TODAY!
I am a liberal and I love my country. This woman is an reminds me of that other republican loon from Fla. who won the election for bush. McCain & Rep have no specific answers for economy or two wars so they spew hate and divide the country. It won't work this time!
Bachmann's views are just the tip of a larger right-wing effort to slander Obama and anyone associated with him as an America-hater. It's sort of a nuevo-red scare. I suppose they would just call him a communist, if that term was still in fashion. As it is, he is mostly called a socialist by people who don't know the meaning of the word.
Those who know the history of Ayres, his co-conspirators, and the hundreds of thousands, if not millions of American sympathizers, then and now, recognize the irony in the McCain camp's efforts to tie Obama to the 60s radical.
If it wasn't for the protests, the anti-war sentiments, and yes, the extremist efforts of people like Ayers - all of that leveraging pressure against our government to end the war - John McCain may have died a POW.

This woman like Palin's recent comments to a crowd about "Pro-American parts of the country" is confirmation that the Republican Party has always been adept and evily clever at pitting one segment of America society against the other in a "divide and conquer" rule. I am so glad they are being found out!
However it was a Wise and Judicious Barack Obama in 2004 who spoke these Uniting words in regards to America's oneness:

It should be a crime against the American Public and a Betrayal of the Public Trust for McCain and Republicans to be able to get away with obvious lies and distortions by false and misleading Robocalls which try to link an 8 year old Barack Obama with acts committed by Ayers over 30 years ago. It is down right dishonest, dishonorable and misleading. There should be laws against this type of unethical behavior to knowing lie and mislead for gain. This is like one lying on their Resume when applying for a job. It is moraly wrong and unethical!
As for Joe the Plumber who lied to Barack when he falsely said, "I'm getting ready to buy a company that makes $250,000 to $280,000 a year," "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" when it has been reported that Joe makes $45,000 a year and owes back taxes! This is the very middle-class person Barack Obama's tax status would help! And Joe the Plumber belies the fact that if one has $250,000.00 dollars to invest in a business, and because he has to pay his fair share of taxes, he is unable to Purchase that business, he is just plain greedy because middle-class people deserve a break now after 8 years of paying more than their fair share while the rich got away scott free!
I am from Minnesota, and i have never heard ANYTHING as offensive as those comments by bachmann. i really hope people dont read into anything as ignorant as the comment that has been made by palin and bachmann. there is one thing to support your candidate, but to try to encite fear in the american people is just plain low! the republican party should be ashamed of themselves, and i pray they lose across the board!
