Biden: Golda And I WereLikeThis

JUPITER, FL - As his three-day bus tour of the Sunshine State worked its way south, Joe Biden placed additional emphasis this morning on seniors issues and defending Israel, something he said can be best assured by restoring America's image abroad.

"I've worked with every prime minister of Israel from Golda Meir right through to the present prime minister," Biden said. "That's why Barack and I know, we know what the Israelis know and all our friends know. That is, the greater the respect for America, the stronger America is in the world, the more secure Israel and the rest of our friends are in the world."

The line was notable not just because of where it was delivered, but also because it came as the McCain campaign criticized the Los Angeles Times for withholding a video they say "could provide a clearer link between Barack Obama and Rashid Khalid," a Palestinian activist.

The campaign denied that had any role, and, in fact, Biden has defended Obama's record on Israel in previous South Florida stops.

Biden also placed new emphasis on Obama's plans for seniors and retirees, wondering along with the crowd of 2,000 what would have happened to Social Security if "Bush and McCain had succeeded" in privatization.

"Here's what Barack and I believe. We believe there should be no privatization of Social Security. No raising of the retirement age. And we believe ... there should be no income taxes for seniors for who have an income of less than $50,000 a year," Biden said.

The Delaware senator spoke from a podium above the left field grass at Roger Dean Stadium, where the St. Louis Cardinals and Florida Marlins train in the baseball pre-season. Six days before election day, Biden said that "spring training's over," and urged the audience to take advantage of early voting.

"I used to have a grandpop, when I'd leave the house he'd say, Joey, keep the faith," Biden said. "And my grandmother and now my mother would say, no, spread it. Well, we need some help spreading the faith, folks."

You do realize that Rashid Khalidi (not Khalid) was born in the United States - okay, in New York City not "the real US" - and is an American citizen, a professor and historian, not a "Palestinian activist"? That he's one of the country's most honored Middle East historians? And that even if there is some dishonor in being associated with him, which I doubt very much, while John McCain served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), he distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.

The Ridger is full of 10 September 2001 spirits...

And if he doesn't recognize the world has changed, that Obama/Biden are bad for the free world (including both the USA and Israel, but not limited to those two states), then that's just poor scholarship on his part...

Anyone who has actually heard Khalidi speak about Israel knows the truth...

According to McCain, Palin, and surrogates, including "let's see if they are pro or anti American" Rep. Michelle Bachmann, McCain has associated with Anti-Americans and Socialists very closely for 20 plus years by showing up for work in the Senate. Let's get real, people!

Huh!!! funny,
Tell you what, I am a Palestinian American Muslim who had enough of those Anti-Islam politicians who are making every effort to kiss Israeli behinds. The trouble that America is in right now IS because of unlimited and unsencered support for Israel that is making me wonder; who comes first? America or Israel? The natorious pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC, is giving it all they got to "demonize" Muslims in order to make it easier to go to a middle-eastern country like Iraq and kill 1.5 million innocent Muslim and ultimately, secure Israel. Both parties, republicans and democrats, are pledging their infinate support for what I consider the most racist country in the world, Israel. And thats not because we have much in common with Israel, but because of the power of the special-foreign-Interest pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC. Its AIPAC that fabricated the lies about WMD's and submitted it to our CIA for presentation infront of a congressional commitee. Just ask major Tenet and Collin powell who both resigned under the BUSH administration for a "reason". I think "CHANGE" should not be limited to just the economy and the health care, but should also include a change in the foreign policy and limit the power of those lobbies in D.C. And if you want to support Israel, you should go run for a president there. Sure enough, some hidden hands are making sure to put the stupidest and least qualified and the most racist people in office just to make sure Israel gets what it wants.

Commments by The Ridger can only be summed up as one of 2 possibilities.
Stupid/Misinformed.
OR
Libtard troll.
The Ridger either is too stupid to know who Khalidi and his wife are....
Or
He doesn't care that they are filth, but lacks the honesty or balls to admit who they are, because he doesn't disapprove.

The Ridger, do us a favor, tell us why you try to deflect Khalidi's ties to Arafat and his wifes' ties to Arafat and Khalidi's anti-semetism. And while you're at it LIBTARD, please explain why the testamonial to Khalidi that Obama spoke at should not be SEEN BY THE AMERICAN PUBLIC so that we can make our own minds up.

I'll wait LIBTARD.

Ridger, if Khalidi is such a damn paragon of virtue the LAT shouldn't have any problem with releasing the tape.
