ANNCR: Your choice...
For higher taxes ... for workin' Joe's.
Spread your income ... keep what's yours.
A trillion in new spending ... freeze spending, eliminate waste.
Pain for small business ... economic growth.
Risky ... proven.
For a stronger America, McCain.
JOHN MCCAIN: I'm John McCain and I approve this message.

Yeah, George Bush could have run that commercial exactly as is, since he and McCain are running on the same policies and using the exact same rhetoric.
So how did that work out for America? Anyone who falls for this deserves what they get--another decade of stagnating wages, low job growth and huge deficits that your children will have to pay off throuhg...wait for it...higher taxes.
John McCain on working people:
You won't pick lettuce in Arizona for $50 dollars an hour, even though I can pay an immigrant $5 an hour to do it. You can't do it. I guess those American workers are just lazy.
It restores my faith and confidence in our nation and its people when I see other Republicans support Obama. When I first voiced concern over George Bush and his big spending low taxes for the wealthy programs, I was called a RINO by all of my Republican friends and family. Today, many of those Republicans are a lot poorer, having lost their retirement funds. I worry about the high number of less fortunate "Joe the Plumbers" who fall for the Bush McCain Palin rhetoric that Obama will put them out of business with high taxes. My small business has never been threatened by high taxes, but we will go out of business if the economy does not pick up. I want a government that invests in infrastructure, invests in our people, and invests in what we will need to prosper in the future. The current economic crisis and Greenspan's admission that the self-interest of our banks and financial institutions did not self-regulate proves Republican leaders have lead us far into the woods with no compass. Obviously!! Give anyone a road with no stop signs or speed limits and they will drive as fast as they can. Any American that thinks this is still a good way to address our shared national interests, is clearly in the wrong country. I would suggest that die hard neocon Republicans should start looking to the moon to set up their next experimental political/economic system.
