Limbaugh: Powell Endorsement "Totally About Race"
Rush Limbaugh today said Colin Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama "was totally about race."
"If Powell had endorsed McCain, you know what would have happened?" Limbaugh said, according to audio of today's show on his site. "Donna Brazile and the other black elites in the Democrat Party would never have forgiven him. This was all about Powell and race. Nothing about the nation and its welfare. He said it's not about race, and I said, 'Okay. Show me all of the inexperienced white liberals you've endorsed.' If it's not about race."
Listen to Limbaugh explain away Powell's decision, trivialize it and him, and ask yourself if he's helping John McCain's cause or hurting the GOP.

Always nice when Limbaugh can bring some more attention to another endorsement of substance. Maybe tomorrow he'll remind everyone that America's editorial boards are choosing Obama 106 to 33.
Rush is just a fat junkie shell of a never was he may have his supporters but just his greasy on air presence alone I think hurts the GOP. Its pretty much been proven up to this point almost nobody, especially "undecided" voters, like this negative voice, and Rush's tone is nothing if not monotonous.
Considering the resume that Colin Powell brings to the table versus Rush Limbaugh there is no comparison. Powell is not a political figure (in the same vein as an elected official and commentator like Limbaugh) but a statesman so his views carry weight beyond his opinion.
Newt Gingrich, who is someone I consider one of the most hypocritical political figures today, I must say I agree with what he said Sunday. "The gravity of Powell's endorsement is real. How can you say that Reagan's National Security Advisor, Bush I's Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and Bush II's Secretary of State was taken in...?"
Rush Limbaugh reminds me of the big fat guy in Monty Python's movie "And Now for Something Completely Different" that eats and eats and then explodes. Maybe he could eat Lou Dobbs and take both of them out.

Rush Limbaugh is a big fat windbag. I find it amazing that some people actually can stand to listen to him.
Maybe Rush is like the little boy who says, "Look, the emperor is not wearing any clothes." Bringing attention to a fact that is plainly obvious - but no one else is saying anything about it. So what if it's about race?
so what does Rushbo think of Ken Adelman now? Limbaugh is so insulting. Does he think Gen. Powell spent his whole life making personnel decisions based on race because of course Gen. Powell has commanded and managed many hundreds of thousands of men and women. What about as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, National Security Advisor, Secretary of State--does the "great commentator" think that Gen. Powell made his many important decisions based on race? To make a political point in support of his candidate, Limbaugh would yes, play the race card on one of the best resumes in town. I know Gen. Powell, just a little, trust me this ain't right.
We should elect a genuine President, just go for your heart NOT their speech. Limbaugh was right at least he brought the point. Those die hard fans of Obama should think twice.

To: Raymond Tang - When deciding whom to vote for, I suggest you go for your brain, and not your heart. Even if you think John McCain would do a good job as President, do you really think Sarah Palin is qualified to replace him when he dies or becomes incapacitated? Really?
