McCain: Not Just The Wealthy Will Pay For Obama Spending Plans
GOFFSTOWN, NH - After nearly a week of dedicating most of his stump speech to Joe the Plumber and Barack Obama's promise to "spread the wealth around," John McCain during a rally this morning shifted his focus to hit Obama harder on his government spending proposals. But before he jumped to the new material, McCain couldn't forget about Joe entirely.
"Every once in a while, my opponent gives us all a little glimpse of what an Obama presidency would be like in the real world," McCain said. "And last week his campaign actually found itself on a detour into the real world -- in the driveway of Joe the Plumber."
Without calling Obama's plan socialist, McCain prompted the crowd to respond as such by saying that "before government can redistribute wealth, it has to confiscate wealth from those who earned it, and whatever the right word is for that way of thinking." To which several members of the audience answered: "socialism."
On government spending, McCain said that his opponent's plan requires "150 billion dollars" in new spending, citing amounts of money that Obama has pledged for education, energy, infrastructure and healthcare.
"Does anyone seriously believe that these trillions of dollars are going to come from only the very highest income earners," McCain asked the crowd of more than 2,000 gathered at Saint Anselm College. "Even his supporters are skeptical. Democratic Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia said of these plans, quote, 'There's not enough money to do all this stuff.' An influential newspaper called his claims, quote, 'neither politically nor economically plausible.' That critique came from the editorial board of The New York Times, and when Barack Obama loses them you know he's gone too far."

Politico.com reports that the Republican National Committee has shelled out $150,000 for Palin's spiffy new wardrobe and accessories.

And that could be a problem. Using campaign funds for personal use isn't legal, according to longstanding advisory opinions issued by the Federal Election Commission. Financial disclosure records released by the RNC indicate that the VP accessorizing began in early September and included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York for a combined total of $49,425.74, reports Politico. And that's not all. There were also two major shopping sprees to Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, including one in early September that rang up a staggering bill of $75,062.63. Payments in September were also made to Barney's New York ($789.72), Bloomingdale's New York ($5,102.71) and Macy's in Minneapolis ($9,447.71). And don't forget the hair and makeup! The RNC spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September after reporting no such costs in August.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Gov. Sarah Palin met on September 24, and it's obvious they enjoyed one another's company. A radical Muslim prayer leader has issued a fatwa, or religious edict, against Zardari for ostentatiously flirting with Palin. See the two of them together.
When Politico.com asked the McCain campaign for a comment, spokeswoman Maria Comella refused to answer specific questions about the expenditures. She wouldn't reveal if the shopping was a one-time event or if it's still ongoing. All she would say is this: "The campaign does not comment on strategic decisions regarding how financial resources available to the campaign are spent." But after Politico broke the story and legal issues were raised, the campaign issued a new statement: "With all of the important issues facing the country right now, it's remarkable that we're spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses. It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign." There was no similar spending by Democrat Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee, according to Politico.
It's time for ignorant Americans to wake up and vote for the right candidate!

No Fred from Canada, all Americans are not like Joe the plumber, 95 % of Americans are not that lucky and 45 % of those don't pay taxes at all. When I came to America, I was given a credit card before I had a job, an address, a social security number or even a green card. I used it to start my business. I paid cash for mi house and that of mi mother and father. I don't know who ended up with the credit card, when I got done with it I gave it to some guy and his familia, I never had a business license, I employ only familia and close friends, health care is taken care of by the state I guess. I sponsor new Americans all the time. No all Americans are not like Joe the plumber, most are not that smart. Eat less, put air in your tires and teach your children to speak spanish, for the future growth and well being of the U.S. of All.
Obama's first, second, and third priority is to get elected. If that means pandering to large numbers of unemployed, under employed, those on welfare, illegal aliens, and malcontents, he'll be happy to throw them a few crumbs as a way to get their votes. He will also turn democracy and capitalism on it's head, and villainize the affluent and successful in our society, in order to rally the masses behind him. With evangelical zeal Obama will convince his followers to replace reason with hope and belief ... to blindly follow him ... never challenge him ... and embrace his words as gospel. In the real, and unforgiving world of economics however, when you immediately gratify everyone by feasting on the goose that lays the golden eggs, the economy looses it's ability to continue generating growth and wealth. Obama is promising everyone a piece of the pie, whether they helped bake it, or not ... but, only in a socialistic, or communist state do the non-contributors demand to share equally in the property that belongs to others. Immediate gratification is like a drug to the malcontents, but in the big picture, every farmer knows that you never eat your seed crop. If Obama gets elected, America will turn into a third world country, with massive government welfare programs, unable to generate jobs for it's citizens, and unable to compete in the global markets. Keep America safe, free and strong ... elect McCain/Palin on November 4th.

Many people don't realize we practice a bit of socialism here every day. It's called our Public School System. The government confiscates and redistributes this wealth all the time. Those who do not have children or whose children are out of school subsidize the education of other children. Many people who can afford to send their children to private school do not and instead send them to public school, making other taxpayers pay for their education. Yet we don't question the necessity of our public schools or dare to denounce it by labeling it a socialist program.
But then again, maybe Joe the Plumber doesn't pay his taxes because he really thinks paying any taxes is a form of socialism and is anti-American.
BTW, I think McCain is latching onto Joe the Plumber because he will need him to deal with the smell that is coming from his camp.
How McCain can whine about taxes always amazes me. I was him or some of his supporters would explain how borrowing hundreds or millions from Chinese banks and paying interest on it for decades is better. Every GOP president since Reagan has loaded more and more debt on future generations of Americans. They're like teenagers running amok in a mall with their parents credit cards.
On the energy front they would suck the country dry of domestic oil and in 50 years OPEC and the Chinese will own us. The GOP does not care about the results of their decisions beyond the next election
On CNN a Mr. Politi said that Obama's plan is no where near socialism. McCain has very poor insight and judgment. If McCain wants to smear Obama he should at least do it honestly. A man who lies so blatantly as McCain should not be allowed to govern a country like ours. Foreign countries see what type of campaign he is running and they will remember. They will not trust him if he were to win. I don't think he will though. Our country is in bad shape and we need a man of integrity and McCain is fast proving that he has very little. I hear people on television saying he is a nice guy. I haven't seen it. He seems very evil to me.
Ok so everyone needs to quit complaining about how the Republican National Committee paid for all of Gov. Palin's clothes. This is a committee that is not funded by tax payers. I guarntee you that most of the money that was used to pay for the clothes was taken from donations from people in the RPC like me! I do not mind giving money and outfitting her because the clothes will go to charity and as for her having to claim them as income and pay taxes on them that is B.S.! Think about all of the celebrities who borrow all of those expensive designer dresses for the Red Carpet Events! Gov. Palin is simply borrowing all of these outfits from the RPC.
Also I was watching two interviews side by side today, one of Obamma and one of Sen, John McCain. I really do not like to watch Obamma anymore because he just looks like a ROBOT!!! He has practiced all of his speeches so many times he just moves his lips and the words just come out. When Senator McCain talks he had emotion. I really would like to have a President who has a little bit of emotion instead of someone who is so prepared for every speech that they have to do the it looks like their face is full of BOTOX.
Oh that brings me to another point. What about Joe Biden using money from the Democratic National Committee to get BOTOX shots!!! What is the difference in that and Palin borrowing clothes?????! There is no difference!!! Joy Behar seems to be ok with the BOTOX of Biden but not with the clothes. Personally if I was going to so far out there like her (a crazy liberal Yankee)I would be really botherd with the BOTOX. How can you give Botox back to charity?? You can't!
This election has been one of the worst in my eyes. The fact that Obamma says he is not talking about McCain anymore! HAHAHAHAHA that is so funny. He talks bad about Sen. McCain every chance he gets. He just does it in such a sly sneeky manor that none of his rally attendance can notice, this is because they are all under his spell! He just talks and he just makes some people just gaze into his eyes and get so mezmorized at how good he can give a speech that they do not really listen to what he is talking about.
I saw a poll this morning that 90% of black people are voting for Obamma just cause of his skin color. AHH why!! That is really a scarry thought! If they would sit back and think of him as a white guy and really listen to what he is saying then they would realize that he is just so full of it that they would change their mind instantly.
Also everyone needs to quit aksing for the McCain's tax returns because they have not really put this out there but Cincy Hensly McCain Cindy is the chairman of her family's business, Hensley & Company, which is one of the largest Anheuser-Busch distributors in the nation. So most of the money that they spend is probably coming from her! Peolple need to get off their backs about how much money they spend. They did not do this with John Kerry! His wife Theresa HEINZ Kerry! She is the heir to the HEINZ, corporation! HEINZ katsup!
