NBC News/WSJ Poll: Obama Up 10
A NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released this evening shows that with two weeks to go until Election Day, Barack Obama now leads John McCain by 10 points among registered voters, 52 to 42 percent, up from 49 to 43 percent two weeks ago.
Other nuggets:
-- Obama leads with independent voters, 49% to 37%, suburban voters, 53% to 41%, Catholics, 50% to 44%, and white women, 49% to 45%.
-- 55% of respondents said Sarah Palin is not qualified to serve as president if the need arises, up five points from the previous poll.
-- 56% said they are either “optimistic or confident” or “satisfied and hopeful” that Obama would do a good job as president; 44 percent said the same of McCain.
-- Obama has a 39-point advantage over McCain in handling health care, a 21-point edge on improving the economy, a 21-point lead on the mortgage and housing crisis, a 17-point edge on dealing with the Wall Street crisis, a 14-point lead on taxes and a 12-point advantage on energy and the cost of gas.

Lets think about polls. In this election environment, truth and honesty were the first causalities regarding the media reporting,voter registrations, candidate character, and campaign promises. Why in the world would polls be the only accurate and honest element? In this campaign, polls are a campaign weapon. If you can convince the opposition it is hopeless to win, they might get demoralized, and give up (buy Saul Alinsky's book on Rules Radicals). This won't work with a war horse like John McCain. First, Republicans always poll lower. Second, with Obama telling his huge crowds to "get in their face, argue with them" (Saul Alinsky, again), and Acorn criminals intimidating people, who would be inclined to tell the truth? If you got a call at dinner time from a pollster, a stranger, who has your phone number, would you feel perfectly comfortable saying you are voting for McCain? Probably not, and even if you would, you would probably be in the small minority. The path of least resistance is to say "undecided" or "Obama". There's an unspoken national secret, and there's going to be a Republican surprise November 5th.
Forget the poles--just get out and VOTE !!!!!( and if possible everyone in in your family and your friends too )

OK, so we've had lots of polls, but the Wall Street Journal, traditionally a bastion of conservatisim, now tells us Obama has a commanding lead. This newspaper is not given to reckless reporting.
