NJ Insiders Poll: Undecided No More?
This week's National Journal Political Insiders Poll, conducted by NJ's Jim Barnes and Peter Bell, surveyed those in the know about how undecided voters will vote next month.
Click through to find out if Republicans believe undecideds will break for John McCain over Barack Obama.
The group was also asked about the impact of Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama. Read on.

Obama is a fraud, a phony and a socialist. He will screw this country up even more than Carter. We know NOTHING about him except his color!

Talk about fraud. How about the McCain volunteer who made up the "scary black man mugged me and carved a B for Obama on my face" story?
She just admitted it was a totally fabricated -- and promoted by Drudge and Fox News -- racist hoax. You want to talk fraud? Let's talk fraud, you fraud.
To the Fake American calling himself the "Real American". I pray you are not the real american. You're ignorant, opinionated and can't research for squat. I had no problems finding every single item on your list. You must work for the McCain campaign, they can't find anything either. Real Americans don't slander/libel other Americans unless they have proof. Only little old church ladies make the kinds of gossipy conclusions you have made in your post.
Don't think for one second we didn't hear you screeching "terrorist", "socialist", "hang him" at your little KKK ...er...Palin Rally. We know who you racist dudes are. You're the same poeple who always want to take away individual rights and allow your neighbors to vote on which ones go to which people, with your ilk always getting the lion's share. You are no American. Americans fight for freedom, tolerance and equality. Your boy, Cheney and his little lap dog, Bush tried like the dickens to usurp the Constitution. Real American's object to that attempt and will throw the bums out.
I have followed Obama keenly since his keynote speech at the 2004 democratic convention, not only because of how impressed I was by his oratory skills, but also because he was a Chicago guy.
Obama was an Illinois Senator from 1997 to 2004, and then a US senator in 2004. I had read about Obama prior to that speech and remember an article where as an Illinois senator, he stated he wanted to change things and to make a difference as a politician. Talk about more of the same!
Here is an excerpt from a Chicago Tribune Columnist:
“It is something I've begged and begged Obama to do with the ham-fisted pols in Chicago and Illinois—to not merely talk about change far away, but to take a principled stand even if that stand runs counter to his political interests at home; to challenge the thugs of his own party, to give us a reason to believe he's the man he says he is. He has politely declined.
Obama has never addressed corruption in Chicago and has actually aligned himself with the questionable parties all for the sake of advancement of his political career.
For a guy who hasn't accomplished much, I am amazed that he has written not one, but two auto biographies. Everything he does seems to be about him. Career first! Doesn't it seem like he has been running for president since he was elected to the US senate in 2004?
Here is another excerpt from somebody who summarizes my questions of Obama:
Barack Obama has never been in one place long enough to make a real difference, or to fight the hard fights. He was a community activist for a few years, then a law student, then in private practice for not too long, then a state senator for not too long, then a United States Senator for not too long. The paint was barely dry in his Senate office when he began running for President. Barack Obama's career is a series of not-too-long positions, each one more grand than the one before it.
Yet what great achievement has Barack Obama obtained other than his own political advancement? What historic law did he author, what historic court case did he argue, what historic battle did he fight, what cause greater than himself warranted more than a passing interest in his historic life?
Further more, prior to being nominated as the democratic delegate, you can research yourself how Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and yes, even Colin Powell, all said that Obama IS NOT ready! What has he done?! They were all slamming the man. Look it up yourselves.
Where are these people's integrities to endorse Obama now? I guess what can we expect since we already know what a liar Bill Clinton when he addressed the nation on his sex scandal.
As you may note, I am not addressing policies or whether either Obama's or McCain's positions are sound. That is for another time. It simply upsets me that Obama has done nothing in his career to support that he is man of change and reform. I will not comment on what may be if he is elected, but rather on why vote for him now? He certainly never exhibited much character in dealing with Illinois reform.
I have not been confident with McCain's choice of Palin as vice president. However, if her job is as a reformer, and to clean up Washington, then at least her character was strong as per the following excerpt of some reporter's writings:
The young Alaska Republican put her political career on the line by challenging the corrupt, old Alaskan Republican bulls on their sleazy pay-for-play politics and their use of the public trust to fill the pockets of their friends. She didn't merely talk about abstract change in Washington. She challenged corruption at home, challenged her own party bosses—some of whom are already in prison—at great risk to her political future.
Rip Palin on her beliefs, her opposition to abortion, or other "right-sided" thoughts, but you know where she stands and on what she has done in her career. She did evoke change in Alaska. She stood up to corruption. She maintained her convictions. Palin has "walked" her talk. I sincerely hope she gets a chance to go after Washington corruption.
As for anyone who says anything about her inexperience to be president if anything were to ever happened to McCain, then all I can say is that she is as qualified as Obama. Anyone who has an 87% favorable rating as governor has got to be doing something right. She certainly is no dummy.
She may have sometimes come across poorly over the last few weeks, but please, she has been in the national spotlight for a very short time. Trust me, if she was running for the position since 2006, instead of doing her job, she would sound just as fantastic as Obama. She is a wonderful speaker in her own right. She has simply not had the time to sit in front of a mirror rehearsing as Obama has certainly done.
I just want to make clear that there is nothing personal against Obama. But before he is a president, a leader of our great country, I do want some proof that he is man of conviction and can prove he walks his talk. This is the very least we should expect from him since his past does not speak well for him, nor does the relationships he has forged in his past. A man so far "left" in political philosophy has said everything America wants to hear, has come to the middle politically in order to get elected, his past be damned. Reform and change indeed.
I am unable to understand this post. But well some points are useful for me.
