Obama's Grandmother Ill, He Heads To HI Thurs.
Per Barack Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs, the candidate will leave the trail for 48 hours later this week to travel to Hawaii to be with his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, who is quite ill. Obama speaks often of his grandmother on the trail. She raised him.
From Gibbs:
"Senator Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has always been one of the most important people in his life. Along with his mother and his grandfather, she raised him in Hawaii from the time he was born until the moment he left for college. As he said at the Democratic Convention, she poured everything she had into him. Recently, his Grandmother has become ill, and in the last few weeks, her health has deteriorated to the point where her situation is very serious. It is for that reason that Senator Obama has decided to change his schedule on Thursday and Friday so that he can see her and spend some time with her. He will be returning the the campaign trail on Saturday."
I really hope Obama's grandmother Madelyn is doing better. My grandmother died over 40 years ago and as this election progresses, I only wish she were alive right now to see him.

While I do hope that Obama's grandmother gets well, I DO NOT support her grandson for president. Maybe while he is IN HAWAII he should pick up an ACTUAL copy of his birth certificate??? Or does he think that that is just going to go away?? sorry, I WILL find a lawyer and file a lawsuit to demand to see the ACTUAL certificate myself if I have to.

She broke her hip. This is not "seriously ill". She has been released from the hospital to return home. While i hope she heals quickly and is not in much pain, i find it curious that he rushes to Hawaii after and emergency writ was sent to the Hawaiian supreme court for release of his birth records this week. And his campaign continues including his ads while he is away. His wife will make apperances while he is gone. Strange how he delayed flying out until Thursday also.

You have your priorities right! Thank you for demonstrating that when it comes right down to the real truth... our love of family is what really matters above everything. Sending wishes for your grandmother's health and your return to the campaign and your being elected our President! God bless her, but the same can't be said for her son. He is not fit for the Presidency. Why is it always about race?????
Wish nothing but the best for his maternal grandmother although I find it curious he travelled without his family, especially Michelle who has voiced such fondness for her. Perhaps a quick trip related to a questionable birth certificate?
