The RNC's "Terrorists" Mailer

rncmail.terrorist_slp.jpg

Barack Obama's campaign is working to raise cash off of this new RNC mailer insinuating that the Dem nom is a terrorist. Campaign Manager David Plouffe sent out a fundraising plea, which links to a donation page with this statement:

"John McCain is trying to win this election by scaring voters with truly vile attacks. With less than two weeks to go, you can provide this campaign with the resources we need to push back in the final stretch. We cannot let McCain take the low road all the way to the White House."

The mail piece says "Terrorists" on the front and reads inside: "Barack Obama. Not Who You Think He Is."

Republicans, Exactly Who We Think they are: Disgusting.

I'm not surprise. They lie and distort everything.
McCrappy is evil. They must be stopped this time.

The Republican party is the sickest most vile and anti-american group of people in the US right now.

John McCain will rot in hell for harming America the way he is. Dividing us with fear, hate and racism.

This proves McCain is worse than George Wallace after all.

The patriots at the RNC are just trying to prevent the country from electing a Muslim-socialist Manchurian candidate.

Go McCain/Palin!

Smells of desperation. They will stoop to anything. I'm so ready for Nov. 4...go Obama/Biden!!!!!

Spread the Wealth (remember the story of the sharing of loaves and fishes?); Take Care of the Poor and Underprivileged (remember the story of a Roman soldier giving his cloak to a begger?); Strive for World Peace (remember the story of the non-Jewish Samaritan Woman at the Well?); Thy will be done, in earth as it is in Heaven (remember the story of the Sermon on the Mount?)...

Aren't these the true ideas Jesus as well as other great prophets were trying to impart? Wouldn't it be a great and wonderful world if we would take the good words to heart and action?

Where's the love? From Republican, Fox News, Sarah Palin, and Senator McCain's words and actions, it appears to lie more with the Democrats, CNN, and Senators Obama and Biden.

Especially with something like this.

Bad, bad, bad.

Why can't we just agree to disagree? Comments like that posted by "Mark" above are so polarizing. Democrats are "patriots" that happen to have a different view point. Why can't the Republicans hit the Democrats "honestly?" You wanna bring up Ayers, the do so, Rev. Wright. sure. But to suggest that Barack Obama himself is a Muslim terrorist (what's wrong with being a Muslim by the way) is the worst. It sad that idiots like Mark can vote and sadder still that racist material like this mailer may actually sway people like him.

Thank you for being honest, Kathy.

I wish Nobama would be as honest......oh, wait, he is - he did say "spread the wealth (i.e. other people's money) around".

Hope you socialists like your new USSA. As for me, I'm probably headed to Panama...

Mark's comments are pretty stupid, as are the hundreds of comments we seem to see everyday out of the McCain/Palin camp, and all of the supporters. I have no doubt that there are thousands of intelligent Republicans somewhere, maybe even in Washington. But clearly the Republican party is the party of the lesser intellect. As a resident of West Virginia, I'm all too aware of the uneducated voters in this country, and the majority of them seem to side with Republicans, their fear tactics, and their blind faith in America. America is nothing if we don't have the right to criticize it from time to time. Being a patriot requires so much. I won't bash anybody, but I beg all of you to get out and vote, whomever it may be for.

"The patriots at the RNC are just trying to prevent the country from electing a Muslim-socialist Manchurian candidate."
What Mark knows, that we don't, is that Obama has managed to be a secret Muslim all these years and not leave a trace of evidence. You see, when Obama was about 5 year old he decided that he would hide the fact that he was a Muslim extremest (its pretty amazing because there weren't many back then)and would pretend to be irreligious. When he grew up, he further tried to hide his identity by converting to Christianity. NObama. No telling what this Muslim, black Christian Liberation theology believing, secular humanist, socialist might do.

Panama Mark? Really? Have fun once you're old and or God forbid disabled. Make sure you return in Social Security payments. I'm sure you'd also make sure you didn't take part in the benefits of Medicaid/Medicare. Geez man. A caring society takes care of it's people. It's a balancing act, but government programs are needed. Can some programs and people go too far? Sure. Does that make people or programs in and of themselves bad? Of course not. Please Mark, catch the next plane.

I received this filthy piece of garbage this morning. It went immediately into the shredder and I went immediately to Obama's website and donate another hundred bucks. Republicans: if you think this kind of filthy, vile, dishonest attack is going to work, I'd suggest you ask Michele Bachmann how things are going for her these days. You wanna play dirty? Fine, expect us to donate money to your opponent. A LOT of money.

The rules have changed. Filth doesn't work any more.

Jony said, "No telling what this Muslim, black Christian Liberation theology believing, secular humanist, socialist might do."

Oxymoronic. How can one be both a Muslim and a Christian and a secular humanist at once? Ok, think he's a Muslim and not vote for him. Think he's a secular humanist and not vote - fine. But saying he's all the contradictory statements above is like when little kids dislike somebody they feel obligated to say he's stupid and ugly too just to insult. Purile.

Mark... put down the conspiracy pipe for a minute and open up your mind. I'm appalled by how easy it's been for the McCain camp (with help from the RNC) to capitalize on people's fear of terrorism, Islam, black people (or half-black in Obama's case), and just about everything else that's slightly unfamiliar.

For the last time, Obama is not a muslim, and he's certainly not a terrorist! Use your brains, people!

The angry mob that's gathering strength in the McPalin camp scares me more than anything, and John and Sarah both are un-American a-holes for provoking it. Shame on them, and shame on the RNC!

Perhaps a landslide win for Obama (and the DNC) will prove that dirty politics will backfire on you at some point. Get out and vote, folks! Denounce these destructive campaign tactics at the polls!

We've read your playbook, Mr. Rove, and we think it stinks. You can't fool us anymore!

I think the mailer sticks. Mccain/Palin should be talking about what they can do for(to) the country. oh wait they are. They can devide us not unite us. after seeing the mailer. i donated my first $200.00 to Obama and another $200.00 to the DNC. I encourage all who dont like the tactics or who want to unite the country together to do the same, even if its only 5.00. show them we deserve better.

Panama? Mark, you are an uninformed pawn. Read up on "corporate socialism" under the neo-cons dating back to Reagan. You live in a plutocracy, my friend, and don't even know it. People like Obama are fighting for you, yet you're so clueless you don't even recognize it. Karl Rove loves gullible people like you. Don't let the door hit you in the butt.

Jonny-- You forgot to mention Mark also received inside information (from Sean Hannity) that Obama is the anti-Christ.

John-- You obviously didn't get that Jonny was being sarcastic. He was responding to Mark's posts above.

Shouldn't we all (Republicans and Democrats and Independents and all true Americans)be outraged by this vile behavior.
I was taught in school , and I believed it, that "the end does NOT justify the means".
I am ashamed .....where is our INTEGRITY as a nation. We can not let this be a dividing Dem/Rep
issue. It is a mark against us all, as decent citizens, if we let it pass as simple mud slinging.
It is beyond vile and should be publicly rejected.
I hang my head in shame.

I have been a registered Republican for the past 42 years. The past 6 years or so, I have not been so happy; but I have remained a loyal Republican in the hope and belief that my party could be saved from the religious right and returned to its roots promoting fiscal conservatism and individual freedoms.

The "Terrorist" mailer, however, is the last straw. I am thoroughly ashamed of the Republican party and I can no longer affiliate with it. On November 4th, I will vote a straight Democratic ticket; and on November 5th, I will change my registration to Independent. Oh, and today, I sent $50 to the Obama campaign to help it counter the Terrorist mailer, and tonight I will pray for Obama's protection.

I'm so proud of the few Republicans who are completely embarassed and ashamed of this RNC mailer calling Obama a terrorist. It makes me feel there are some Whites who are not buying into the lies McCain and Palin are putting out there just to win an election. I will never look at the man I once considered an honorable man who would be a great president in the same way. McCain, you proved by picking Palin and now using Karl Rove smear tactics, that you are a man who does not put country first even though you preach it.......you put your own ambitions of finally (after 3 or 4 attempts) becomming president of the USA ahead of integrity, honor, and love for country by conducting yourself in the most low, dispicable manner I have ever seen in this election. You hired the same group Bush used to smear you and your family the last time you ran for president. You are truy pathetic and need much prayer. God is not pleased with how you have handled this and you will be judged for all your underhanded, sneaky and lowdown tactics during this election.

You guys are so blind. look at Obama. He is obviously arab/muslim. And like all arabs he is socialist. All socialists are terrorists. Haven't you learned anything from 9/11? Obama clearly supports terrorism because he is freinds with that weather guy. Governor Palin has been very clear about this and she knows more than you do. You should have more respect for true leadership. God bless McCain/Palin and god save our nation from commies like obama.

Mark-

You obviously are unaware of the meaning socialism. Apparently so is Palin. But throwing that word around is one of her "talking points" because she is clearly unable to formulate an original thought. The latest rnc mailer that compares Obama to a terrorist is disgusting. McCain said he is proud of it. He continues to show of lack honor and judgment.

This country had sung the same song for over 200 years, and it was a good song. In 8 short years we have lost our way as a Nation. The Republican leadership took one solemn oath: to preserve, defend, and uphold the Constitution. It has done none of those things, to the detriment of us all. The GOP continues to sell fear and lies. Those who would sacrifice their souls for power, deserve none. With each unethical act, we are all diminished. A note to all of those defending these dishonorable deeds: Sell your lies, hatred, and intolerance some place else. After 8 years, we are all stocked up here.
