Did only 21% of African-Americans turn out to vote, or is that the pecentage of the total electorate?
I am AA and I would say that 21 represents percentage of total electorate. I don't know the percentage of AAs in VA, but nationally, it is about 9% at this point and decreasing all the time. That number always shocks my white friends, they believe that the percentage of AAs in the US is much higher, but not true. Okay, just check a website that report AA pop in VA at 19%.
