Inauguration Coverage Plans

The nets' extensive plans for inauguration coverage are below (in alphabetical order):

ABC

• ABC's 1/20 coverage begins at 7am with a special three-hour edition of "GMA" at the Library of Congress. At 10am, Charles Gibson, Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos will anchor coverage of the inauguration from the Newseum. • At 8pm, ABC will broadcast "The Neighborhood Ball: An Inauguration Celebration." At 10 pm, Gibson, Sawyer and Stephanopoulos will anchor the ABC News Special "A Moment in History: The Inauguration of Barack Obama." • The net will also provide live coverage of many of Obama's events 1/17-19, beginning with his train trip from Philly. "World News" will be anchored from DC beginning 1/17. On 1/20, "World News" will be an extended, 90-minute edition (6:30-8pm). • "GMA" will originate from DC on 1/19 and the weekend edition will originate from DC on 1/18. "Nightline" will be anchored from DC 1/19-20.

BET

Hill Harper and Rene Syler will co-anchor BET's coverage on 1/20. At 8pm, Nick Cannon will host "Yes We Will! BET's Inauguration Celebration." The net will also host its first-ever Inaugural Ball at the Mandarin Oriental hotel. • On 1/17, "The BET Honors" will be held at the Warner Theatre.

CBS

Katie Couric will anchor CBS' coverage (10am-5pm). She will also anchor a live, one-hour primetime special, "Change and Challenge: The Inauguration of Barack Obama" (9pm) and a live Webcast on CBSNews.com and CNET.com (10pm). • CBS kicks off coverage on 1/18 with a special edition of "Face the Nation." "Evening News" will originate from DC 1/19-20 and "Early Show" will originate from DC 1/19-21. • On 1/20, "Evening News" will be an extended, one-hour edition (6:30-7:30pm).

CNBC

• On 1/20, CNBC will have Carl Quintanilla and John Harwood in place for "Squawk Box" (6-9am) from DC. Quintanilla will also co-anchor "CNBC Reports" from DC that evening. • CNBC is airing "CNBC Reports: President Obama & Your Money," from 7am-5pm on 1/19.

CNN

Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper guide CNN's coverage from the rooftop of the Newseum on 1/20. A special edition of "American Morning" will originate from DC (5-10am) (also on 1/19). • There will be a special edition of "Situation Room" (4-7pm). Cooper and Campbell Brown will lead coverage 7 pm-12am, with special editions of "No Bias, No Bull" and "AC 360." Larry King hosts a special edition of "LKL" from the DC bureau (12-1am). • Coverage kicks off on 1/17 (10am-7pm). Blitzer will anchor "The Obama Express" and Candy Crowley will accompany Obama on board the train. 1/18 marks the premiere of John King's "State of the Union" (9am). • In the days leading up to and including Inauguration Day, CNN's Election Express bus will be stationed on the Mall.

Comcast

• On 1/20, Comcast Central's interactive news channel will showcase five windows of rotating, live feeds from CNBC, CNN, CNN Headline News, C-SPAN, FNC and MSNBC -- simultaneously in one place. A sixth window will highlight previous Obama speeches and link viewers to the "Barack Obama" On Demand folder.

C-SPAN

• 1/20 coverage begins with "Washington Journal" at a special time of 6am and continues all day until 12am. • C-SPAN's coverage kicks off 1/17 in Philly (10am). On 1/18, coverage includes the welcoming of Obama and Biden. Archival speeches from past inaugurations will be shown on 1/19.

FBN

• FBN will offer coverage beginning at 7am on 1/20. Alexis Glick will anchor "Money for Breakfast" and "Opening Bell" from the Mall (7-10am). Neil Cavuto will also provide analysis throughout the day and host "Cavuto" (6-7pm).

FNC

• FNC will provide coverage beginning at 6am on 1/20 with "Fox & Friends" through the inaugural balls until 1am. Bret Baier will kick off coverage (8:30-10:30am). Chris Wallace will anchor the inauguration and the inaugural parade (10:30am-3pm). • Megyn Kelly and Bill Hemmer will report from the balls beginning at 9pm with Baier anchoring.

MSNBC

• MSNBC will telecast outdoors on the Mall 1/20, with coverage led by Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Eugene Robinson (10am-4pm). • There will also be live telecasts of "Hardball" (5 and 7pm), "1600" (6pm), "Countdown" (8pm), "Rachel Maddow Show" (9pm) and coverage continuing 10pm-12am. • David Shuster anchors coverage from 12-3am. • "Morning Joe" will be at the Dubliner Restaurant & Pub 1/19-20. MSNBC will be live throughout the day and in primetime from the Mall on 1/19. The net will also be live all weekend beginning 1/17. • Americans nationwide will be able to view MSNBC's 1/20coverage in their hometown movie theaters. These events will be held in 27 theaters in 21 cities from 11am-3pm. Meanwhile, 650 Starbucks locations in NY, Seattle and San Francisco will air coverage from 10am-2pm ET at participating Starbucks locations.

NBC

Brian Williams will anchor NBC's coverage as well as a one-hour special at 10pm. • "Nightly News" will originate from DC 1/19-20. "Today" will also originate from DC 1/19-20. • The net kicks off the inaugural week on 1/18 with a special edition of "Meet the Press."

Nickelodeon

• On 1/20 at 8 pm, vignettes featuring footage of Obama's Oath of Office will air on Nickelodeon, The N and Nicktoons Networks. Coverage of the inauguration kicks off on 1/19 at 4 pm. Kids Pick the President (KPP) corrs. Lily Collins, JJ and Pick Boy will report.

NPR

• On 1/20, NPR is offering six hours of special broadcast and webcast coverage (10am-4pm). • "Morning Edition"'s Steve Inskeep and "All Things Considered"'s Michele Norris will host west front of the Capitol 10am-2pm. • At 2pm, "Talk of the Nation"'s Neal Conan leads a conversation about the day's events. • Linda Wertheimer will also host an hour-long wrap-up special at 7pm. • And NPR will be the only radio broadcaster of "We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at The Lincoln Memorial," the opening celebration on 1/18 (2-5pm).

PBS

• Beginning at 11am on 1/20, Jim Lehrer anchors PBS' coverage, which includes analysis from syndicated columnist Mark Shields, New York Times' David Brooks. • "NewsHour" will also be using Flikr, Twitter and Facebook to update users throughout the day.

TV One

• TV One is providing 24 hours of coverage 1/20, including live coverage of events from 10am-6pm, 10pm-12am and a wrap-up of the day's events from 12-1am. • 1/19 marks TV One's fifth anniversary. 8pm is the premiere of "Barack Obama: The Man and His Journey." A two-hour anniversary special will air at 9pm. • On 1/18, TV One premieres "Believe: The Barack Obama Story" (8pm).
