Isn't It Ironic
A Dem operative forwards two ironies of the Republican National Committee chairman's race:
-- "Republicans will let DC vote in their chairs race. But not in Congress! Just sayin'."
-- "The Republicans have almost as many RNC members as they do House members."
(That's 168 RNC members to 178 House members, for those desiring specifics.)

This lecture on party democracy brought to you by someone whose party allows for the possibility of a presidential nominee to be decided by the party elite ("superdelegates") rather than by the people, and whose party chairman is simply appointed by The One.
While I'll agree with you on the superdelegates point, sitting presidents of both parties always get to hand pick their party chairs.
