Add Another Sponsor To The Birther Bill

Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) quietly signed on yesterday to the so-called "birther bill" sponsored by first-term Rep. Bill Posey (R-FL). Gohmert, who did not release a statement announcing the move, is the 10th GOP member to co-sponsor the bill, which would require presidential candidates to present a birth certificate.

Dems believe the bill represents the fringe right's efforts to highlight Pres. Obama's heritage and race by questioning the place of his birth, repeatedly confirmed and reconfirmed by officials as HI. Still the debate rages on as fodder for cable TV and as conservatives struggle to find their footing in policy debates.

I don’t trust ANY politician and almost no one in the media. I still want two answers.

1) Why can't we see his long-form? Obama knows that millions of citizens want to see it yet he continues to hide it. What/why is he hiding?

and most disturbingly,

2) Why don't BHO's supporters want to know the whole truth, especially since there’s a reward of $100,000 for proof that Obama is a "natural born" citizen of the United States.

OBAMA, STOP HIDING. SHOW US THE LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!!!!

I have a friend who was adopted. He doesn't want to know who is birth parents are. I also know people who have adopted children.

How does this birther bill address these very private issues?

All of these people who are begging for the President to reveal the 'long form' are beyond help. My question to them: if you were actually able to see such a document would that really make you back off?

Want to know what Hawaii has to say about it?

What about the birth announcements in the two Honolulu newspapers? Surely those should convince you.

Barack Obama was born in Hawaii to a mother from Kansas. End of story, period.
