DNC's 'No Plan At All'

The DNC has released a new TV ad in SC knocking Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) for trying to "kill" health care reform. The ad, titled "No Plan at All," will air on cable news stations in Greenville (DeMint's hometown) and Columbia, as well as in DC.

The ad highlights GOP efforts to thwart passage of a package. DeMint suggested, and affirmed again today, that he believes health care will be Pres. Obama's "Waterloo."

"The politicization of health care reform by Senator Jim DeMint and Republicans is a desperate and shameful ploy by the 'Party of NO' to score a political win on the backs of struggling American families and small businesses," said the DNC's Brad Woodhouse. "What's worse is that this strategy originates from the same Republican Party who ignored health care reform for the past eight years, letting costs spiral out of control while protecting their special interest friends."

This is unbelievable, that the President would misrepresent a Senator. Sen. DeMint isn't trying to "kill" health care reform, he is FOR HEALTH CARE REFORM and he has submitted more legislation than Obama has when he was a Senator on healthcare reform. Obama is not reforming healthcare, he is totally instituting GOV'T CONTROL OF HEALTHCARE. Please don't make up stories that aren't true. Let's stay with the FACTS.

I guess I really shouldn't expect anything but this from Liberal Democrats. Jim DeMint has lots to say about health care reform, but nothing that the Democrats are willing to listen to. What is everyone so afraid of. They should be thinking of what is best for the American people. I can't wait until 2012 when we can vote most out, and hopefully get some more people like Jim DeMint in to do the job of representing the people of the United States. I am not looking for Government control of anything as I like the freedom I use to have. There should be no control of banks or car companies, and heaven forbid health insurance. What a nightmare. Keep fighting for us Senator DeMint.

What a bunch of trash. Though, honestly, I'm not surprised, considering it came from the DNC.

It seems to me that Jim DeMint is the only one who is more concerned about doing what's right than doing what is popular. The DNC could learn a lot from him... if they still have their souls, that is.

Senator Demint is absolutely correct.
Obama's agenda is all about power.
Think about it. Just a couple of points.
Public option:
Obama's claim for this is competition for insurance plans. As a no-brainer we all know that you can not compete with a no profit, taxpayer backed, entity if you are a private profit seeking company.
The public option would force private insurers to lower premiums to a point they would be out of business and you would be forced into the government option.
Remember that if your insurer changes you must go to the public option.
Computerized records in government hands:
The current private health records that we now have would be under government control.
Think about that. The government hardly has a stellar record of safekeeping highly classified information on computers.
Your personal health information could be used to deny you life insurance and even employment, just to name a few.
Senator Jim Demint has a great understanding of what this current administration is all about. POWER!
Chicago style politics by the Obama gang is very apparent. I pray for the safety of those that get in their way...

The ad is just a baldfaced lie. Here is DeMint's track record on healthcare reform. Obama picked on the guy who LEAST fits his accusation.

This is also a great example of the Obama Chicago-style politics of personal destruction: Gerald Wolpin, the Chrysler bondholders, the bank CEOs, Joe the Plumber, Sarah Palin, the attack ads he's running against lawmakers FROM HIS OWN PARTY.

MediaCurves.com just conducted a study with 615 viewers of a recent pro health care reform ad by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) discussing statements from Senator Jim DeMint. Results showed that the ad failed to increase favorability levels across all political parties. Democrats, Republicans and Independents all reported “skepticism” as the emotion they felt most while watching the ad.
