Ensign Returning To Public Life

Half a year after admitting an affair with a close family friend, Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) is returning to public life as he ramps up his opposition to health care legislation.
Ensign will hold 2 forums this month, beginning with a Reno town hall meeting on Jan. 11 at the County Commission chambers. He will hold a second meeting, in Las Vegas, Jan. 13. The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported Ensign's plans this morning.
Ensign's attempt to reintroduce himself to NV voters, and to reassert his place in the GOP policy arena, is off to a rocky start. For one thing, he remains under investigation by the Senate Ethics Committee for his role in the affair, which included a $96K payout to the family of the woman with whom he was involved and efforts to line up lobbying work for her husband. During a recent appearance on CNN, host Rick Sanchez grilled Ensign over the questions he has yet to answer over the affair.
Ensign's poll numbers in NV are worse than Sen. Harry Reid's (D), and only slightly better than continually-embattled Gov. Jim Gibbons (R). But Ensign is doing his best to start a comeback, one he will need if he wants to run for a 3rd term: His state was in the blue column in '08, and Ensign faces voters again when Pres. Obama will be back on the ballot in '12.
I look forward to seeing Ensign - my old high school buddy - and looking him in the eye when I ask him to step aside and resign so that sincere change benefiting ALL Americans can take place. I'm sick of him and other GOP obstructionists whose methods and objectives serve only the rich, the powerful, and the self-anointed C-street members.
Some say one of the biggest scandals of the year was Senator John Ensign's affair with staffer Cynthia Hampton. A Senate Ethics Committee is reviewing whether Ensign acted improperly after helping Hampton's husband get a job as a lobbyist.
Senator Ensign said Thursday in the new year he's ready for the attention to fade off.
"I won't answer any of the questions because I am focused on doing my job. And all of that stuff will take care of itself over time and we said we will cooperate with any investigations but at this moment I'm just going to focus on being the best Senator I can be for my state," said Senator Ensign.

Let's stop focusing on a "Monica Lewinsky" type transgression. Clinton was guilty of many crimes that should have landed him behind bars. But, instead, America celebrated its new "stud of a president".
Ensign won't serve jail time for "boinking" Mrs. Hampton. But, he will serve time for his illegal activity in the cover-up.
Not even his so called "Christian Constituency" should be upset. Why? because he's not one of "you".
Only true Christians can be part of the "Christian Constituency".
So, you may ask, "who's a Christian"? For an answer we go to the authority on the subject - most of you know it as the Bible. The Bible says that homosexuals and adulterers aren't going to inherit the "Kingdom of God". (1st Cor. chap 6)
Pseudo-Christians respond with "Judge not lest ye be judged". [please notice that I didn't judge - the Bible did, and Ensign himself agreed]
Pseudo-Christians counter with "he was separated from his wife at the time."
For those who don't know any better, God doesn't care what's on a piece of paper - He cares about the condition of the human spirit. True marriage results in a bonding of two spirits (that part of the human which is created in the 'Image of God')(aka that part of us that "leaves the operating table and looks down on our own body and the doctors/nurses working on said body") consumated through sexual intercourse.
Not only was Nevada Senator John Ensign married, but Mrs. Doug Hampton was married as well.
Two adulterers
Two who won't inherit the Kingdom of God
Two who are Christian in "Human label only"
So stop expecting Christian behavior from a Non-Christian - Ensign was doing what most Americans today do - "If it feels good - have sex with it". You don't go to prison for cheating on your spouse (at least not anymore).
Start looking at the 10's of Millions of Taxpayer Dollars that are being wasted - and, listen up Republicans and Democrats alike - both parties are doing it!!!

This deals with those who are "playing semantics" with the Word of God.
Grace is about restoring someone unto their "father" (familiarity of Spirit from which they are conceived) through the resultant forgiveness granted to all because of Jesus' obediance - unto his physical death. (his physical body was dead and in the grave for 3 days - really more like 60 hours instead of 72)
To argue that I don't know the truth about the condition of John Ensign's heart - would be correct. However, I can recognize the fruit of his (repeated) lasciviousness!
Most importantly, Senator John Ensign (Hero of the American Penacostal Movement) does his contemporary impersonation of "sackcloth and ash" and claims "Grace".
Long term results: "horn dog'n around" until he gets caught - rolls his eyes heavenward and says "I'm sorry - I hurt a lot of people - and, uh, in the name of Jesus, Amen". His "boy toy party boys (leaders in his church movement)" Praise God! He has returned to the fold!
Ensign gets another "itch in his britches" - gets caught again - says he's sorry again - his "boy toy party preachers" say "God's Grace is endless" - and the cycles continue.
Why Hebrews 6:6? It addresses the continual cycle of "sinning/apologizing/sinning/apologizing ..."
" ... they are crucifying the Son of God all over again ... "
This is just an opinion - but I think Y'all are going to get your butts kicked on Judgement Day!!! - despite all the "happy thought trances" your preachers put you into during your "worship services".
I completely agree with everything in this post. If only all dog owners thought this way!
Our little guy has been a mess lately, so we've taken him to do some dog training and so far have been proud to uphold our furniture as is! Does anyone else have some experience with a 2 year old dog behaving like a 4 month old?! I treasure the assistance.

Do you truly think that's true? You did an excellent job expressing your point, but I suspect you should put some more thought into this debate and perhaps post an answer to the opposite side of this argument.
